Abstract: A method and system for detecting an image of an object in an analyzer-based system with a polychromatic x-ray beam from an x-ray source, wherein an analyzer crystal and a detector simultaneously acquire a rocking curve of the x-ray beam for all energies of the x-ray beam. The x-ray beam is diffracted through the object using an asymmetrical monochromator. A detector movement is synchronized with one of the x-ray source or the object. The synchronization includes moving the detector at a first rate that is different than a second rate of the object or the x-ray source, wherein a ratio between the first rate and the second rate is determined by the magnification of the system.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a scanning probe, a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the scanning probe. The scanning probe includes a base and a micro-tip disposed on an end of the base, wherein at least a section of the micro-tip comprises a lateral surface with a concavely curved generatrix. In the method, an end of a probe precursor is immersed in a corrosive solution by having a length direction of the probe precursor inclined with a liquid surface of the corrosive solution. The probe precursor is corroded by the corrosive solution while a corrosion current of the corroding is monitored. The probe precursor is moved away from the corrosive solution after a magnitude of the corrosion current has a plunge. The apparatus includes a container containing the corrosive solution, and a driving device configured to move the probe precursor in the container through a fastener.
Abstract: A hybrid propulsion system for a small satellite package consisting of a main rocket motor containing a solid propellant with multiple oxidizer tanks positioned to direct oxidizer into the rocker motor, thereby producing a desired thrust necessary for orbit insertion and/or orbit correction. Additionally, oxidizers can serve a dual function in controlling cold fuel thrusters for attitude adjustment.

Abstract: A bit interleaver, a bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) device and a bit interleaving method are disclosed herein. The bit interleaver includes a first memory, a processor, and a second memory. The first memory stores a low-density parity check (LDPC) codeword having a length of 16200 and a code rate of 3/15. The processor generates an interleaved codeword by interleaving the LDPC codeword on a bit group basis. The size of the bit group corresponds to a parallel factor of the LDPC codeword. The second memory provides the interleaved codeword to a modulator for quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation.
