Abstract: (A) Conditional vectors are defined. (B) Latent observation vectors are generated using a predefined noise distribution function. (C) A forward propagation of a generator model is executed with the conditional vectors and the latent observation vectors as input to generate an output vector. (D) A forward propagation of a decoder model of a trained autoencoder model is executed with the generated output vector as input to generate a plurality of decoded vectors. (E) Transformed observation vectors are selected from transformed data based on the defined plurality of conditional vectors. (F) A forward propagation of a discriminator model is executed with the transformed observation vectors, the conditional vectors, and the decoded vectors as input to predict whether each transformed observation vector and each decoded vector is real or fake. (G) The discriminator and generator models are updated and (A) through (G) are repeated until training is complete.

Abstract: A composite material and a foam prepared from the composite material are provided. The composite material includes a network polymer, a fluorine-containing polymer fiber, and a reinforcement fiber. The polymer network is a crosslinking reaction product of a polymer and an oligomer, wherein the polymer is polyamide, polyester, polyurethane, or a combination thereof, and the oligomer is a vinyl aromatic-co-acrylate oligomer with an epoxy functional group. The oligomer has a weight percentage of 1% to 10%, based on the weight of the network polymer. The ratio of the weight of the reinforcement fiber to the total weight of the network polymer and the fluorine-containing polymer fiber is from 1:9 to 4:6.

Abstract: A measurement system for positioning accuracy of a robotic arm includes the robotic arm, a computing device, a robotic arm controlling device, a first magnetic element and a second magnetic element. The robotic arm controlling device is electrically connected to the robotic arm and the computing device. The first magnetic element is disposed on a robotic arm. The second magnetic element is disposed on a fixed platform. One of the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element is electrically connected to the computing device. The robotic arm controlling device controls the robotic arm to move the first magnetic element above the second magnetic element to generate a magnetic field. The computing device is configured to calculate a plurality of movement error information of the first magnetic element in the magnetic field, and count the plurality of movement error information to obtain a positioning accuracy of the robot arm.
Abstract: Tops of geological layers can be automatically identified using machine-learning techniques as described herein. In one example, a system can receive well log records associated with wellbores drilled through geological layers. The system can generate well clusters by applying a clustering process to the well log records. The system can then obtain a respective set of training data associated with a well cluster, train a machine-learning model based on the respective set of training data, select a target well-log record associated with a target wellbore of the well cluster, and provide the target well-log record as input to the trained machine-learning model. Based on an output from the trained machine-learning model, the system can determine the geological tops of the geological layers in a region surrounding the target wellbore. The system may then transmit an electronic signal indicating the geological tops of the geological layers associated with the target wellbore.

Abstract: A wavelength multiplexing device is disclosed. When light is irradiated on a first longitudinal end region of a metal nano-structure, surface plasmon polaritons are generated in the first longitudinal end region. The surface plasmon polaritons and the light are coupled with each other to form first coupled surface plasmon polaritons, wherein the first coupled surface plasmon polaritons propagate along and on a surface of the metal nano-structure. When the first coupled surface plasmon polaritons reach a two-dimensional material layer, excitons are induced in the two-dimensional material layer, wherein the induced excitons and the first coupled surface plasmon polaritons are coupled with each other to form second coupled surface plasmon polaritons. The second coupled surface plasmon polaritons propagate along and on a surface of the metal nano-structure toward a second longitudinal end thereof.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) polypeptides, which can be used with adoptive cell transfer to target and kill cancers, that comprise a co-stimulatory signaling region having a mutated form of a cytoplasmic domain of CD28 that enhances CAR-T cell function, a mutated form of a cytoplasmic domain of 41BB that enhances nuclear factor kappaB (NF?B) signaling, or a combination thereof. Also disclosed are immune effector cells, such as T cells or Natural Killer (NK) cells, that are engineered to express these CARs. Also disclosed are immune effector cells co-expressing a CAR and one or more TRAF proteins. Therefore, also disclosed are methods of providing an anti-tumor immunity in a subject with a tumor associated antigen-expressing cancer that involves adoptive transfer of the disclosed immune effector cells.
