Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing data storage and/or retrieval, and, more particularly, for implementing data associations. In various embodiments, an associations rules engine might query data aggregation data services to determine whether a first data object (which along with a first relationship rule that indicates a one-to-one relationship between the first data object and a corresponding second data object) is associated with one or more third data objects; might abstract the first data object, the first relationship rule, and the one or more third data objects; might update, in a metadata catalog, a catalog entry corresponding to the first data object with one or more associations among various data objects; and might provide a requesting computing system with access to the catalog entry corresponding to the first data object, the computing system performing one or more computational tasks using the associations stored in the catalog entry.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing data and source validation for equipment output data and/or for equipment failure predict. In various embodiments, in response to receiving a first request for first data that is output by first equipment, a computing system might retrieve and analyze the first data to determine whether the first data can be trusted. If so, the computing system might send the first data to the requesting device. If not, the computing system might send a second request for identifying a blockchain containing a block containing a copy of the first data. In response to the blockchain system identifying such a blockchain, the computing system might receive the identified blockchain; might abstract the block containing the copy of the first data from the identified blockchain; might abstract the first data from the block; and might send the first data to the requesting device.

Abstract: In a system with a plurality of servers serving one or more clients, situations may arise in which a client has a connection to a first server which is providing a service to the client, and in which it would be advantageous to transfer the connection to a second server, in a manner that does not require the re-establishing of the connection or the making of a renewed request, by the client, for the service. As such, a system and method for transferring a client connection from one server to another server are provided.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing network experience shifting, and, in particular embodiments, using either a roaming or portable hypervisor associated with a user or a local hypervisor unassociated with the user. In some embodiments, a network node in a first network might receive, via a first network access device in a second network, a request from a user device to establish roaming network access, and might authenticate a user associated with the user device, the user being unassociated with the first network access device. Based on a determination that the user is authorized to access data, content, profiles, and/or software applications that are accessible via a second network access device, the network node might establish a secure private connection through a hypervisor or container communicatively coupled to the first network access device to provide the user with access to her data, content, profiles, and/or software applications.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing customer resource telemetry and use as a service. In various embodiments, a computing system might receive, from a user, a request to access at least one network-accessible resource associated with a customer of a service provider, the user being unassociated and unrelated with the customer; might identify at least one of a user identification, a company, or a class of user associated with the user; might determine whether at least one resource record associated with the customer indicates that the user has permission to access the at least one network-accessible resource, based on the identification. If so, the computing system might provide the user with access to the at least one network-accessible resource associated with the customer. If not, the computing system might deny, to the user, access to the at least one network-accessible resource associated with the customer.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to identification and assessment of security threats to a computer system using zero trust security. A method may include receiving, at a policy enforcement device of a computer network, first data from a first subsystem of the computer network; receiving, at the policy enforcement device, second data from a second subsystem of the computer network, the first subsystem different than the first subsystem; identifying, by the policy enforcement device, based on a comparison of at least one of the first data or the second data to a security policy, a security threat to the computer network; and causing, by the policy enforcement device, a threat intelligence device of the computer network to determine a risk of the security threat.

Abstract: Multiple Anycast regions may be defined, and a separate Anycast address may be used for each region in order to localize client requests. In examples, when one or more Anycast servers in a first Anycast region fail or become overburdened (or are predicted to do so), one or more Anycast server in another, geographically or logically separate Anycast region that has additional capacity to handle client service requests may be dynamically added to the first Anycast region.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to a distributed CDN comprised of CDN nodes that each have a compute engine and a data store. Compute engines may be used to execute software associated with computing functionality of the distributed CDN and may be reconfigured according to changing conditions to adapt computing functionality to current or expected demand. Nodes may communicate with one another via an overlay network. A node may determine whether it should process a request or generate a route via the overlay network to the remote node, thereby enabling the remote node to process the request. In another example, a node may receive a request for a compute resource that is not currently provided by the node. The compute engine of the node may be reconfigured to provide the compute resource, thereby enabling the node to service the request rather than redirect the request to a different node.

Abstract: A network interface device (NID) is provided to accommodate the receipt and transmission of optical signals according to multiple standards in a single customer premises device. This permits the network service provider, among other things, to deliver one NID to any customer premises, whether or not the particular customer premises is currently being served by an optical line terminal (OLT) providing first protocol service or second protocol service. As a network is upgraded (e.g., from first protocol service to second protocol service), the network service provider can connect the customer premises to an OLT providing the upgraded second protocol service and then programmatically alter the NID to transceive signals according to the upgraded standard without requiring a new NID to be delivered or installed at the customer premises.

Abstract: Handheld tools are provided for removing a wire from within an optical cable. For example, the handheld tool may be used to remove a copper wire from a fiber optic drop cable in an efficient manner without damaging other components of the fiber optic drop cable. Advantageously, the optical cable may be used immediately after the wire is removed without further steps by the technician, such as re-applying an outer protective sleeve, as is commonly required with known tools.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic storage and forwarding of data are described. When remote storage is unreachable by a device via a wide area network (WAN), the device may negotiate for temporary storage on another device connected to the same local area network (LAN). The temporary storage may have a specified storage amount and a specified storage time. The specified storage amount and/or specified storage time may be renegotiated if more space or time is desired. Temporary storage on multiple devices connected to the LAN may be available. The data in temporary storage may be transferred between different LAN devices.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques for are provided for implementing a hybrid spectrum access system and access probe framework. A system includes a base station coupled to a network, a spectrum access system, and user equipment coupled to the base station and the spectrum access system. The user equipment is configured to transmit, to the base station, a first network access request following a first access sequence while transmitting signals under a first power limit. If no response is obtained from the base station, the user equipment is configured to transmit a second network access request above the first power limit, but under a second power limit. The user equipment is configured to obtain spectrum access from the spectrum access system and transmit a second network access request to the base station.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing use of voice activity detection (“VAD”) or comfort noise generation (“CNG”) blank times or spaces. In various embodiments, a computing system may identify packets that contain no voice signal data among a plurality of packets, which may be exchanged during a voice over Internet Protocol (“VoIP”) communication between user devices. The computing system may embed data within at least one of the identified packets, the embedded data including data that is different from voice signal data contained in the plurality of packets. When the resultant packets have been received and analyzed to determine whether they contain embedded data. Based on a determination that the resultant packets contain embedded data, the embedded data may be extracted. The extracted embedded data may be converted into a form that is accessible to a requesting entity.

Abstract: The present application describes a network interface device that acts as an interface between a network service provided by a network service provider and one or more network access devices associated with a particular location and/or entity. The network interface device has a first port for connecting to a network access point provided by a network service provider, a second port for connecting to a separate network access device, and a wireless communication system that couples the network interface device to a remote computing device to enable access to a subscription service or diagnostic information.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing error detection in a network, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing error and/or fault detection in a network and/or media stream and providing options to address the error and/or fault in the network and/or media stream. In various embodiments, a computer might detect an error in a first network and send a notification indicating that the error has occurred. The notification might contain one or more options to address the error in the first network. The computer, a user device, a service provider device, or a content provider device might receive and display the notification containing the one or more options. The computer, the user device, the service provider device, or the content provider device might then select at least one of the one or more options to address the error in the first network.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a product includes forming a first mixture of PVC fragments and cellulosic fragments, heating the first mixture at a temperature and duration sufficient to melt at least a portion of the PVC fragments, and cooling the first mixture until the melted PVC fragments resolidify.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing block-level, bit-mapped binary data access for parallel processing. In various embodiments, a computing system may cause a plurality of compute nodes to perform one or more tasks (e.g., artificial intelligence (“AI”) and/or machine learning (“ML”) tasks) on portions of decompressed data, after causing some, but not all, of the compute nodes to decompress the entire compressed data. In some cases, the computing system may cause each compute node to decompress portions of the compressed data. Once the data has been decompressed and/or bit-mapped, each compute node may be caused to perform at least one task (e.g., AI/ML task) on its assigned portion of the decompressed data. Different portions of the same decompressed data may be processed with the same (AI/ML) algorithm, or the same portions of the same decompressed data may be processed with a different (AI/ML) algorithm, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are used for activating a downhole tool, powered by an exothermic reaction, for operation, while deploying a tubing string from a wellbore surface. The tubing string comprises a coupling for enabling pressurized activation of the downhole tool, which comprises a fuel (e.g., thermite) for producing the exothermic reaction. The coupling enables fluid to flow into an interior of the coupling through a first flow passage, during descent of the downhole tool. A stopper is dropped and/or seated to cause the coupling interior to pressurize to an activation pressure, which causes an activator to activate a burn within the downhole tool. Once the downhole tool completes its operation, the coupling interior is further pressurized to burst a burst disc, which opens a second flow passage for fluid to flow from the interior to exterior of the coupling, while downhole tool and coupling are raised to the surface.

Abstract: A wireless testing system is provided that testing transmission speeds associated with a WLAN or other wireless network. In one instance, a network transmission between a device in a telecommunications network and a modem be measured and initiated via an application executed on a mobile device. One or more Wi-Fi speed tests may also be performed to determine a transmission speed between a wireless device associated with the premises and the modem of the WLAN. To conduct the Wi-Fi speed test, a mobile device (such as the mobile device executing the application) may transmit, in some instances in response to an input to the mobile device, an instruction to the test controller to conduct the Wi-Fi speed test. The measured transmission speeds may be controlled by a controller that may store the speed test results in a network repository available to the mobile device.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing automated robocall detection. In various embodiments, a computing system may compare first abstracted raw data, obtained from a portion of call data from a first call from a first originating party, with each of a plurality of abstracted raw data, obtained from portions of call data from a plurality of calls from a corresponding plurality of originating parties. In some instances, the plurality of abstracted raw data and the first abstracted raw data may each include at least one of word count data, phoneme count data, inter-word timing data, voice pitch estimation data, and/or background noise data. The computing system may determine whether the first abstracted raw data is indicative of the first call being a suspected unsolicited or unwanted communication, based at least in part on the comparison. If so, the computing system may perform one or more tasks.
