Abstract: A method of providing immersive reality content includes determining a field of view intersection between a first field of view from a first device and a second field of view from a second device, generating a first immersive reality content based on the field of view intersection and providing the first immersive reality content. An apparatus for providing immersive reality content includes a processor and at least one memory coupled to the processor, the processor being configured to determine a field of view intersection between a first field of view from a first device and a second field of view from a second device, generate a first immersive reality content based on the field of view intersection and provide the first immersive reality content. A computer-readable storage medium, computer program and a non-transitory article of manufacture are also described.

Abstract: Dynamic virtual content(s) to be superimposed to a representation of a real 3D scene complies with a scenario defined before runtime and involving real-world constraints (23). Real-world information (22) is captured in the real 3D scene and the scenario is executed at runtime (14) in presence of the real-world constraints. When the real-world constraints are not identified (12) from the real-world information, a transformation of the representation of the real 3D scene to a virtually adapted 3D scene is carried out (13) before executing the scenario, so that the virtually adapted 3D scene fulfills those constraints, and the scenario is executed in the virtually adapted 3D scene replacing the real 3D scene instead of the real 3D scene. Abstract: There are several types of plenoptic devices having their proprietary file format. At present there is no standard supporting the acquisition and transmission of multidimensional information for an exhaustive over-view of the different parameters upon which a light-field depends. As such acquired light-field data for different cameras have a diversity of formats. The notion of pixel beam, which represents a volume occupied by a set of rays of light in an object space of an optical system of a camera is thus introduced. The method according to the invention enables to provide data representative of a collection of pixel beams describing a first optical system that is agnostic since these data are obtained by imaging the collection of pixel beams through a second optical system. Such data representative of a collection of pixel beams enable the generation of parametrized output images from which post-processing.

A request is received at a gateway from a first device for streaming content displayed on a second device to the first device. The first device is authenticated. Abstract: A device for shielding a sub-wavelength-scale object from an electromagnetic wave incident on the device. The device includes a layer of dielectric material, a surface of which has a change of level forming a step. The step is in contact with a medium having a refractive index that is lower than a refractive index of the dielectric material. The sub-wavelength-scale object is located within the device in a quiet zone where an electromagnetic field intensity is below a threshold, the quiet zone extending above said surface, in a vicinity of the step, in a direction of incidence of said incident electromagnetic wave.

Abstract: In a staggercasting system, a receiver estimates a delivery time of a packet from a main stream and, if the packet from the main stream is not received at the estimated delivery time, the receiver substitutes a corresponding packet from the stagger stream. As a result, a loss can be detected quicker since the receiver does not have to wait until detection of a missing sequence number and, therefore, the receiver can accommodate the time of presentation such that the user does not suffer a loss in quality of service.

Abstract: A home assistant device and a method for privacy-preserving vocal interactions. A microphone captures an audio signal corresponding to a vocal user query. The identity of the speaker is determined, and an obfuscated name is generated corresponding to the identified speaker. The audio signal is analysed to determine the intent of the user and a personalized answer is generated in combination with the obfuscated name. This answer is then de-obfuscated by reintroducing the speaker name. The de-obfuscated answer is rendered to the speaker.

A series of signals transmitted from a remote-control unit are received at the display device. The indicator on a grid depicted on the display device is moved based on the received signals. A time for moving the indicator on the grid varies based on the series of signals received from the remote-control unit.

Abstract: The present disclosure concerns a device for forming a field intensity distribution in the near zone, from a propagating electromagnetic waves which are incident on said device. A personalized program guide may be generated including information about the personal stream and may only be watched on the individual's receiver. Obfuscation of the stream types associated with the personal stream may be performed. Methods and apparatuses for transmitting and receiving a signal are provided.

Abstract: A sequence of point clouds is encoded as a video by an encoder and transmitted to a decoder which retrieves the sequence of point clouds. Visible points of a point cloud are iteratively projected on a projection map to determine a patch data item list. Image patches are generated and packed into a picture. Pictures and associated patch data item list are encoded in a stream. The decoding method decodes pictures and associated patch data item lists. Pixels of image patches comprised in pictures are un-projected according to data stored in associated patches. The methods have the advantage of encoding every point of point clouds in a manner avoiding artifacts and allowing decoding at video frame rate.

Abstract: A solution for objects in a publish-subscribe environment is described. An object determining unit determines an object identifier for the object, whereas a recipient determining unit determines a recipient identifier for the recipient which shall manipulate the object. An object request comprising at least the object identifier and the recipient identifier is then output to the publish-subscribe environment. Recipients of the object request check whether manipulation of an object is required and manipulate the object as required.

Abstract: In an Internet interface device such as a gateway managing a local network, a processor obtains a packet received from a device via a local network interface. The processor can determine whether or not the packet originates from a device in the local network deemed to be part of a particular group. The processor can also determine if the packet is addressed to an internet domain for which it stores identifying information in memory. In this case, the processor inspects the packet in search of a cookie. In case no cookie is found, the packet is output as is; if a cookie is found, the processor modifies cookie information in the packet by inserting a cookie specific to the Internet interface device, which results in a modified packet that then is output through the internet interface. Using the original cookie and the added cookie, it is possible to link cookies sent from different devices in the local network.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing remote control of content rendered by a set top box is described including transmitting a state request message by a user to the set top box via a server, receiving a state reply message by the user from the set top box via the server, determining by the user if the user needs to control the set top box responsive to information in the state reply message and transmitting a remote control command to the set top box via the server. Also described are a method and apparatus including recording information of events by the set top box, receiving a state request message via a server, generating a state reply message including the recorded information, transmitting the state reply message via the server, receiving a remote control command via the server and performing an action specified by the remote control command.
