Publication number: 20130173665Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention describe using a data structure to represent variable domains in solving a constraint problem. The data structure includes nodes that are configured to represent ranges of values in order to save memory space and processor power. Ranges of values and single values may be both added to and removed from the data structure such that the data structure does not include duplicate values. Operations may include detecting multiple nodes with adjacent or overlapping ranges that may be combined into a single node, and adding or removing all the values in the structure that are beyond a threshold value. Publication number: 20130173582Abstract: A web crawler indexes documents including information about document contents and metadata including information such as a URL. However, some applications rely on URL's that change frequently or are constructed to include user information so that the contents retrieved is customized to the user. An approach is provided for storing generic URL's in an index at crawl time, which are customized for the user at search time. A callback mechanism may be used to dynamically transform the generic URL into a URL that is specific to the user issuing the query and/or includes current information that may change frequently. In this way, when the query or search results are returned to the user, the user receives links that are active and valid for that particular user, directing the user to the appropriate site, application, etc. without requiring continuous updating of a very large index.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2012Publication date: July 4, 2013Applicant: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Ciya Liao, Thomas Chang, Muralidhar Krishnaprasad, Meeten Bhavsar

Publication number: 20130170591Abstract: In a clock-adjustment circuit, a phase-detection circuit receives a first clock associated with a first clock domain and a second clock associated with a second clock domain, and determines a phase relationship between the first clock and the second clock. Then, the phase-adjustment circuit in the clock-adjustment circuit adjusts a phase of the first clock relative to the second clock if the determined phase relationship is associated with a metastable range of a first-in first-out (FIFO) buffer that transfers data from the first clock domain to the second clock domain, thereby reducing latency associated with the FIFO buffer.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2011Publication date: July 4, 2013Applicant: ORACLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATIONInventor: Jianghui Su
