    Abstract: An adaptive automatic transmission control system responds to stopping of a vehicle for reducing torque absorption by an automatic transmission and movement of and range to obstructions forward from a vehicle for reengaging the automatic transmission after a stop.     Abstract: A system and method for improving the operation of a cooling system and AC system for an engine, without sacrificing engine performance is disclosed. The system includes incorporating at least one sensor, include a pressure sensor installed within the high pressure side of the AC system. The method includes providing an AC system having a high pressure side and a low pressure side, providing at least one sensor on the high pressure side for producing an electrical signal in response to an operating condition, determining which sensor has a highest electrical signal value for controlling the speed of the fan.

    Abstract: A lock mechanism for a motor vehicle ignition switch comprises a housing defining a barrel and a locking cylinder fitted for rotation in the barrel. A cap is fitted over one end of the housing capturing a frangible lock insert between the housing and cap. The frangible lock insert includes an electrically conductive pathway between radially displaced connection points on the rim of the insert. A circuit includes the electrically conductive pathway which is interrupted by disintegration of the frangible lock insert. Such disintegration occurs upon efforts to tamper with the lock mechanism or application of brute force to the sensor.
