Abstract: A non-fixed roll bar system is disclosed which employs cylindrical, hollow-shaped standpipes for inner guidance of the legs of an essentially U-shaped roll bar. These standpipes are rigidly connected with a housing to be installed into a vehicle. For outer guidance of the bar legs, guide borings with radial play to the legs are provided in a guide block, which is also attached to the housing. This play is compensated by radially elastic guide bushings. This results in closed surface areas of the bar legs.

Abstract: A method for closing channels containing pressure fluid in a housing, so that the dynamic load applied to the housing and the closing member during the pressing process is minimized. Thus a pressing force with a defined direction and entity acts discontinuously on the closing member, the latter realizes a discontinuous feed motion directed into the channel, acting only on the housing material at the recess of the closing member producing the form-lock to yield into the recess due to the discontinuous force impact on the closing member.

Abstract: A fault controller for a brake system includes a control display having a plurality of identifying labels displayed thereon corresponding to predetermined brake system fault mode options. A plurality of switches corresponding to the identifying labels and selectively setable to activate and deactivate conditions are on the control display. Fluid control valves are disposed along brake lines between the master cylinder and the wheel brakes. There are electrical connections between the switches and fluid control valves wherein setting one of the switches to the activate condition activates a corresponding fault mode of the brake system. An enable switch on the controller, if included, must be set to an "enable" condition for the fault controller to affect brake operation.

Abstract: A wiper arrangement for windscreen wipers in motor vehicles in which the wiper blade is rotated, depending on the pivoting angle of the wiper arm thus conforming to the curvature of the windscreen. The entire wiper arm rotates to a certain degree as the wiper spindle pivots depending on the pivoting angle. The crank control which is fitted in a control sleeve embracing a spherical cap on the wiper spindle and being rotatable in relation thereto. The control sleeve is controlled by a circumferential control edge on the bearing sleeve of the wiper shaft.
Abstract: A solenoid valve for use with a slip-controlled brake system has an annular piston with a switchable diaphragm in order to lower the valve noises. The annular piston moves, in response to differential pressure, between a first position at which a pressurized medium flow path parallel to the diaphragm exists and a second position at which pressurized medium flows exclusively through the diaphragm. A pressurized agent channel, arranged upstream of the valve seat, has a portion having a reduced cross section relative to the valve seat, into which a channel branch of small nominal diameter opens. With this design, the pressure energy of the pressurized medium column flowing into the solenoid valve is converted into kinetic energy, which initiates a pressure gradient in the channel branch and prevents premature switching of the annular piston into the diaphragm position during slip-free normal braking.

Abstract: A programmable semiconductor memory is disclosed which can be fabricated with an MOS process of low complexity and which takes up little space. The memory comprises a MOS field-effect transistor having an antifuse region between the gate electrode and the drain region. Prior to application of a programming voltage, the antifuse region electrically isolates the gate electrode and the drain region from each other. On application of the programming voltage to the gate electrode, which is greater than the supply voltage applied between the drain and the source, the antifuse region changes to a low-impedance state.
