  • Patent number: 11428270
Abstract: Rotating equipment includes driver equipment, driven equipment and a rotating shaft coupling. The driver equipment includes a driver support connected to a stationary driver shaft, and also includes a driver arranged on the driver support with a driving shaft to rotate and provide a rotational torque. The driven equipment includes a driven unit support connected to a stationary driven unit shaft, and also includes a driven unit arranged on the driven unit support with a driven shaft to respond to the rotational torque and rotate. The rotating shaft coupling couples the driving shaft to the driven shaft and applies the rotational torque from the driving shaft to the driven shaft. The stationary driver shaft couples to the stationary driven unit shaft to provide a static torque load to counteract the rotational torque applied from the driving shaft to the driven shaft during operation.

  • Patent number: 11408480
Abstract: A system may detect a vibration being applied to a tuned vibration absorber. The tuned vibration absorber may include a beam, a mass, springs, a sensor, and an actuator. The mass may be disposed on the beam at a current position. The actuator may be configured to adjust a position of the mass on the beam. The system may identify a target position of the mass on the beam based on the detected vibration. The system may generate a drive signal, based on the target position, to control the actuator to adjust the position of the mass on the beam. The system may control the actuator to adjust the position of the mass from the current position on the beam to the target position on the beam to attenuate the vibration.

  • Patent number: 11394264
Abstract: A resistor assembly for a motor drive circuit for an electric motor assembly can have a generally circular shape. The resistor assembly includes a resistor with input and output connectors and a pair of conductor elements extending from the input and output connectors. The pair of conductor elements extend adjacent each other along a curved serpentine path so the resistor has a generally circular outer perimeter and a generally circular inner perimeter. The curved serpentine path of the pair of conductor elements allows current to flow through the pair of conductor elements so that magnetic fields generated by the current flow through the pair of conductor elements cancel each other, thereby providing the resistor with low inductance.

  • Patent number: 11378119
Abstract: A connector includes a body having gear teeth. A first sleeve is rotatably coupled to the body. A moveable member is positioned in a hole of the first sleeve. A second sleeve is movable with respect to the first sleeve between a locked and unlocked positions. A releasable locking member is positioned between the moveable member and the gear teeth. In the unlocked position of the second sleeve, a recess formed in the second sleeve is aligned with the opening. Upon rotation of the first sleeve, the moveable member is translated into the recess as the releasable locking member travels along the gear teeth. In the locked position of the second sleeve, the recess is rotationally spaced from the opening, and, the releasable locking member is sandwiched between the gear teeth and the moveable member to prevent rotation of the first sleeve with respect to the connector body.

  • Publication number: 20220090598
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for clearance adjustments in twin-screw pump assemblies. A twin-screw pump assembly may include a conically shaped portion of a drive shaft enveloped by a bushing. For clearance adjustment, both clamping nuts of the drive shaft, which provide pretention to the bushing and secure an axial position of a threaded screw to the drive shaft, may be removed on the flow side of the pump assembly and the bushing loosened to adjust the angularity between bushing and drive shaft. The bushing may then be pushed over the conically shaped portion and both clamping nuts re-assembled. In some examples, a clamping nut of the driven shaft may be designed and used as removal/loosening tool for the drive shaft bushing.

  • Patent number: 11255340
Abstract: A pump is provided having an impeller in combination with a power transmission shaft. The impeller has a tapered bore with impeller threads. The power transmission shaft has a shaft end with tapered threads configured to couple directly to the impeller threads of the tapered bore of the impeller, to transmit torque directly through the tapered threads, and to provide self axial or radial alignment even if the coupling of the tapered threads and the impeller threads of the tapered bore start out of alignment. The tapered thread configuration substantially reduces investment in lifting equipment and time by maintenance personnel because it eliminates the need for maintenance personnel to precisely align the impeller threads and the tapered threads before attaching or removing the impeller and the tapered threads release much more quickly from the impeller than a standard thread configuration, reducing the number of turns the power transmission shaft must be rotated by hand to free it from the impeller.
