Abstract: An apparatus is provided for the gasification or aeration of liquids. Elongated aeration elements are connected to a distribution conduit and have an essentially rigid support tube about which is disposed a membrane of elastomeric material. Compressed gas introduced between the support tube and membrane escapes via slits in the membrane. An elastically deformable fitting is disposed between the distribution conduit and one of the aeration elements, and is disposed in a bore in the conduit. The fitting has an essentially flat portion, one side of which rests against the outer surface of the conduit, and the other side of which rests against an end of the aeration element. A hollow bolt is securely connected to the aeration element and is guided through a bore in the fitting into the interior of the conduit, where it is provided with apertures.
Abstract: A pin for playing ninepins or for bowling is provided. The base portion of the pin is detachable from the pin body and is replaceable. The base portion comprises a material that is more robust, wear resistant and/or has a higher resistance to scoring than does the remainder of the pin. The base portion can be provided with a reinforcement. The base portion has an annular support surface with at least one radially extending notch, a sharp inner edge, and high static friction to effect an improved ground adhesion.
Abstract: An apparatus for aerating water is provided, and includes a support body and disposed thereon a slitted sleeve of rubber or similar elastomeric material. The support body has sides of greatly different lengths, with the longer sides being essentially vertical. The support body is preferably a board-like, flat, rectangular upright support body.
Abstract: A fluorescent-lamp socket has a hollow dielectric housing, and a pair of identical conductive contact elements in the housing, each contact element is unitarily formed with an outer lamp-contacting end adapted to engage a respective pin of the lamp, an inner wiring end formed as a wire-engaging clip, a center part extending between the respective inner and outer ends, and an elastic tongue unitarily formed with the respective center part and projecting transversely toward the other contact element. The contact elements are formed of resilient sheet metal. The housing can include a web projecting between and holding apart the elastic tongues. Alternately it can be constructed such that either the tongues bear on each other and electrically interconnect the contact elements or each tongue bears on the center part of the other contact element to electrically interconnect the contact elements.

Abstract: The invention concerns an induction cooking hob with multiple inductors fed at the same frequency or multiples of a common fundamental frequency to avoid beat frequencies. Separate generators are provided for two or more heaters. A high-power heater is provided with two or more inductors. To provide maximum power, the second inductor of the high-power heater may be supplied with power switched from the generator for a different heater.
Abstract: The sealing device for a control member (17) is provided with a shaft (16) passing through a sealed casing and comprising a tube (1) driven into a bore (3) of the casing (4). A shaft (16) of the control member (17) is engaged in the tube (1) and at least one joint (18, 19) ensures normal sealing between this tube and this shaft. It comprises a compression key (6) screwed on the tube (1) comprising an upper portion (8) overlying the tube (1) and surrounding the shaft (16) of the control member (17). A compression joint (15) is disposed in the space comprised between the upper portion (8) of the compression key, the tube (1) and the shaft (16).
Abstract: A modular induction heated cooking hob inductor and hob are disclosed. The inductor is a wound conductor having turns at substantially right angles to previous turns. Parallel turns of the conductor are separated by a layer of insulation adjacent to the turns of the conductor. The hob may comprise multiple inductors. The inductor may have sensors for detecting a device to be heated and/or illuminatable segments that light up in response to the presence of an object to be heated.
Abstract: For measurement and display of auditory evoked potentials of the brain, pickup electrodes (A, Ref), an amplifier circuit (1 . . . 5) and an evaluation facility (7) are used to display the time trend of midlatency auditory evoked potentials (MLAEP) and simultaneously therewith, during measurement of the information signals, the time trend of early brain stem auditory evoked potentials (BAEP), which is displayed at a higher time resolution as compared to the information curve. For this purpose an amplifier circuit is used the isolation stage (8) of which is arranged in a way so that the total gain of the amplifier unit (1, 3) connected between electrode assembly (A, Ref) and isolation stage (8) amounts to between approximately 1000 and 4000.
Abstract: A invention relates to a watch strap, having a strap end link 1 which is connected to a further component such that it can be pivoted about an axis transverse to the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap and which can be adjusted relative to the further component in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap. The strap end link 1 is articulated on a pivot element 3 such that it can be pivoted about an adjustment axis 2 which extends, approximately in the strap plane, transversely to the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap, the pivot element being connected to the further component such that it can be pivoted through approximately 180° about a pivot axis 4 which is parallel to the adjustment axis 2. In this case, the pivot element 3 can be arrested in its pivot end positions. The adjustment axis 2 and pivot axis 4 are arranged one behind the other in this case approximately along the longitudinal extent of the wrist strap.
Abstract: A trailer coupling for motor vehicles has a bar, a ball provided on the bar, the bar being automatically adjustable between an idle position and an operating position, and an adjusting drive including an electric motor which automatically adjust the bar between the idle position and the operating position.
Abstract: An apparatus for aerating water with fine bubbles is provided. At least one strip-like, inextensible aerating element is provided that has an air supply channel and there above a portion that is provided with slits which elastically widen under the effect of a supply of air. At least one holding element is secured to the base of a water reservoir that is to be aerated, wherein the aerating element is longitudinally displaceably held by the holding element such that with the reservoir filled, a pulling action on one end of the aerating element results in withdrawal thereof from the holding element.
Abstract: An apparatus for installing between a pair of spaced terminals a wire having a conductive core and an insulating sheath surrounding the core and interrupted at spaced stripped regions has a head defining a passage having an outer end, a guide element on the head at the outer end forming a passage alignable with the head passage, and a supply for feeding the wire along the head passage and the guide-element passage. A cutter on the head at the outer end can sever through the core in the stripped regions between the head and the guide element and the guide element can be pivoted on the head about an axis transverse to the guide-element passage for directing the passage at any of a plurality of different angles to the horizontal and vertical.
Abstract: An electrical device having a base from which extend two parallel connector pins each having a small-diameter shank and a large-diameter head is fittable with a socket having a housing formed with a transverse wall having front and back faces and having between the faces a predetermined thickness substantially less than a distance between an end face of the device and the heads. The wall is formed with a pair of throughgoing slots each having a wide end through which a respective one of the heads can pass and an opposite narrow end so that the device can be fitted to the housing by passing the heads of the pins through the wide ends until the device end face engages the wall front face followed by turning of the device to displace the heads toward the narrow ends of the respective slots.
