    Abstract: An improved heaterboard, and method and apparatus for producing same is disclosed herein. A foil layer is bonded to a paperboard substrate and a circuit path is cut in the foil layer to define a heating circuit. In a preferred method, the circuit is defined by cut scores and short-circuiting across the cut scores is prevented by a reverse scoring operation in which the circuit pattern is scored in the surface of the heaterboard opposite the surface having the foil heating layer thereon. Various heaterboard circuit patterns and an apparatus for forming heaterboards are also disclosed.

An opening means is also provided which is defined by the predetermined edge of the second panel and regions of weakness formed in the second panel which extend from the predetermined edge of the second panel for permitting access to the inside of the formed carton.

Such web is formed by the deposition of fibers from an aqueous slurry onto the surface of a multiplex forming fabric defining pockets in one surface thereof, under conditions of flow and rate of water removal that establish high shear fluid flow and result in the orientation of fibers and/or fiber segments at an angle with respect to the plane of the forming fabric.     Abstract: A food packaging material suitable for a variety of food service applications, including fast food restaurants is provided. The packaging is preferably formed from a flexible laminate sheet that includes at least one moisture impervious layer and has been formed into a receptacle having a shape suitable for enclosing and sealing fast food sandwiches and the like. Attached to the sheet is a length of rip cord having at least one free end that can be grasped and pulled by the consumer to tear the laminate sheet, thereby opening the sealed food-containing receptacle. The rip cord can be attached so that it causes one portion of the receptacle to be partially or completely separated from a remaining receptacle portion. The separated portion of the receptacle can be folded out of the way or discarded, and the remaining receptacle portion used to enclose the food product to form a convenient pouch for protecting the consumer's hands while holding the food product.

    Abstract: A delaminated stratified paper towel includes a dense first layer of chemical fiber blend and a second layer of a bulky anfractuous fiber blend unitary with the first layer. The first and second layers enhance a rate of absorption and water holding capacity of the paper towel. In a preferred embodiment, the second layer is a fiber blend having a high bulk softwood fiber and a chemi-thermomechanical pulp. A method of forming a delaminated stratified web of paper towel material includes supplying a first furnish directly to a wire and supplying a second furnish of a bulky anfractuous fiber blend directly onto the first furnish disposed on the wire. Drying the first and second furnishes forms a web of paper towel material having a predetermined dryness. The web of paper towel material is thereafter creped off of the drying device and embossed to a predetermined emboss depth. The web of paper towel material has an enhanced rate of absorption and water holding capacity.
