  • Patent number: 4559484
Abstract: A stop-position controlling device for an electric windshield wiper is disclosed, which comprises an oscillation means for a wiper blade and a switch mechanism provide with armature shortcircuiting contacts for forcedly stopping the wiper blade at a predetermined position under a turn-off state of a wiper switch. In this device, the armature shortcircuiting contacts are shifted at plural positions for forcedly stopping the wiper motor at different positions and a turnover means is further arranged therefor, or a contact moving means is disposed for displacing the armature shortcircuiting contacts to plural positions.

  • Patent number: 4542325
Abstract: In an automotive windshield wiper control system, a rain sensor provides a rain condition-indicative signal useful in controlling the wiper in its intermittent operation mode. That signal is integrated to yield a value representing rain accumulation on the windshield, and when the integrated value exceeds a given threshold, the wiper is reciprocated once to clear the windshield. In order to prevent arhythmic wiper operation, the signal integrator is disabled during wiper operation so that the integrated value will not approach the threshold too soon after or even before the end of the preceding wiper operation cycle.

  • Patent number: 4502718
Abstract: A door lock/unlock system for an automotive vehicle having a safety means for preventing a driving unit for electrically driving a door lock mechanism between a door lock position and an unlock position from being damaged by mis-operation. The safety means inhibits power supply to the driving unit when the door locking operation is made while the door lock mechanism is in the lock position and when the door unlocking operation is made while the door lock mechanism is in the unlock position.

  • Patent number: 4420396
Abstract: A filter device for a fuel tank comprises an upper wall for supporting in position a tubular member such as a fuel line or a pump casing, a bottom wall disposed at a distance from the upper wall, and a cylindrical wall supporting in position a mesh encircling the space intervening between the upper wall and the bottom wall. The cylindrical wall and either the upper wall or the bottom wall are integrally molded of a plastic material in one integral part, the bottom wall or the upper wall is molded separately of a plastic material in a separate part to be fitted to the free end of the cylindrical wall in the one integral part, one of the two parts which has an outer fitting peripheral wall surface is formed of a plastic material having a smaller rate of dimensional change, and the other part which has an inner fitting peripheral wall surface is formed of a plastic material having a larger rate of dimensional change.

  • Patent number: 4370102
Abstract: A device for pumping fluid includes a main pump device and an auxiliary device integrally fixed thereto. The auxiliary device can function as a damper, cut-off valve, check valve and relief valve. The auxiliary device includes a first and second room separated by a diaphragm. The first room is connected to the fuel supply passage of the main pump device. One end of the outlet passage of the auxiliary device is connected to the first room by way of a valve mechanism consisting of a valve body and valve seat. The valve body is actuated by deforming of the diaphragm in response to the change of the fluid pressure within the first room. A relief passage is formed in the valve body to connect the first room with the second room. A relief valve such as a ball valve is placed in cooperation with the relief passage.
