  • Patent number: 8136995
Abstract: First portions are fixed to an outer ring, and second portions are fixed to an inner ring. Bimetal members and electromagnets are embedded in and fixed by elastic portions of the first portions and portions of the second portions are constituted by ferromagnetic members. Whereas at a normal temperature region, the first portions and the second portions are brought into contact with each other, based on deformations of the bimetal members at a temperature equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature equal to or higher than the normal temperature region, the first portions and the second portions are made to be disposed to be spaced apart from each other by intervals therebetween at a temperature equal to or higher than the predetermined temperature equal to or higher than the normal temperature region.

  • Patent number: 8136998
Abstract: A bearing apparatus includes: two split outer ring halves which are mounted to the housing; a plurality of rolling elements which are provided so as to roll on the two split outer ring halves; and a cage which holds the rolling elements such that the rolling elements are disposed at substantially equal intervals in a circumferential direction of the cage and which is split at a position of the cage to form joint surfaces, an outside diameter of the cage being guided by inner circumferential surfaces of the split outer ring halves. An outside diametrical dimension in a normal direction to the joint surfaces is made larger than an outside diametrical dimension of the cage in a direction parallel to the joint surface, and vicinity of an outside diametrical position of the cage lying in the normal direction is made to be guided by the outer ring halves.

  • Publication number: 20120061168
Abstract: A reduction gear coupled to an electric motor includes: a first bearing that rotatably supports a first end portion of a worm shaft such that the worm shaft is allowed to oscillate in an oscillation direction about the first end portion; and a first elastic member that elastically urges a second bearing in such a direction that an axis-to-axis distance between the worm shaft and the worm wheel reduces. The first end portion and an output shaft of the electric motor are coupled by a joint. A second elastic member located between the joint and the first end portion elastically urges the worm shaft toward a second end portion and applies a preload on the first bearing. An outer ring of the first bearing is interposed in an axial direction by the third elastic member and the fourth elastic member.

  • Publication number: 20120058871
Abstract: A tool radius adjusting device executes an operation for adjusting the tool radius of a boring holder in parallel with execution of a machining program for executing an operation of a spindle head and an operation of a tool changer. A carrier control unit determines whether the tool changer is executing a tool changing process. When the tool changing process is not being executed, the carrier control unit allows the carrier device to execute an operation for picking the boring holder out from the tool magazine and an operation for returning the boring holder, of which the tool radius has been adjusted, to the tool magazine.

  • Publication number: 20120055732
Abstract: An electric power steering system includes a motor that applies assist force to a steering system, and updates a motor resistance (Rm) that is a value indicating a resistance of the motor. Specifically, the motor resistance (Rm) is updated on the basis of the fact that an induced voltage (EX) of the motor is smaller than a first determination value (GA). In addition, when the induced voltage (EX) is smaller than or equal to a second determination value (GB), a divided value that is obtained by dividing a motor voltage (Vm) by a motor current (Im) is set as a new motor resistance (Rm).

  • Publication number: 20120059550
Abstract: An electric power steering system determines a steering state of a steering wheel on the basis of a current (Im) of a motor applying assist force to a steering system and a steering speed (?s) of the steering wheel. A state where the steering wheel is retained at a position other than a neutral position is a retained state, and a state where the steering wheel is placed at the neutral position is a neutral state. When the steering speed (?s) is lower than a determination value (?a) and the motor current (Im) is larger than a reference value (Ix), it is determined whether the steering state is the neutral state. When the steering speed (?s) is lower than the determination value (?a), the motor current (Im) is larger than the reference value (Ix), and the steering state is determined to be the neutral state at immediately preceding determination, the steering state is determined to be the neutral state.
