  • Patent number: 7699137
Abstract: A motor-driven steering controller for controlling a steering wheel of a vehicle. The controller includes a steering torque controlling unit, a braking force estimating unit, a right and left braking force difference estimating unit and an assist steering torque providing unit. The steering torque controlling unit controls a steering torque on the steering wheel depending on a steering operation. The braking force estimating unit estimates braking forces to be imposed on wheels of the vehicle. The right and left braking force difference estimating unit estimates difference between the braking forces to be imposed on the right and left wheels each estimated by the braking forces estimating unit. The assist steering torque providing unit provides an assist steering torque for the steering torque controlling unit on the basis of the difference in braking force between right and left wheels estimated by the right and left braking force difference estimating unit.

  • Publication number: 20100094505
Abstract: A motor is driven based on an axis current value in a rotating coordinate system that rotates in accordance with a control angle that is a rotational angle used in a control. The control angle is calculated by adding an addition angle to an immediately preceding value of the control angle in each predetermined calculation cycle. A command steering torque is set based on a predetermined steering angle-torque characteristic. The addition angle is calculated based on the deviation of a detected steering torque from a command steering torque. The addition angle based on the deviation is changed when a predetermined condition is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 7694601
Abstract: A housing of a gear device houses a plurality of gears and a lubricant. On at least one side surface of at least one gear selected from the plurality of gears, an extended projection is provided. On a side surface of the housing facing the side surface of the selected gear, an extended projection is provided. The extended projection of the selected gear and the extended projection of the housing extend in a direction crossing the circumferential direction of the selected gear. When viewed along an axial direction of the selected gear, according to rotation of the selected gear, the extended projection of the selected gear and the extended projection of the housing partially face each other in the axial direction of the selected gear and form facing portions. A lubricant holding portion capable of holding the lubricant is formed between the facing portion of the extended projection of the selected gear and the facing portion of the extended projection of the housing.

  • Patent number: 7695353
Abstract: In a grinding wheel in which abrasive tips for rough grinding and abrasive tips for finish grinding are alternately bonded to a periphery of a disk type base rotating about a rotation axis, each abrasive tip includes the abrasive layer formed by bonding abrasive grains and a lower layer overlaid and integrally for led with the abrasive layer. The abrasive tip is attached to the periphery of the base at the lower layer. A Young's modulus of the lower layer of the abrasive tip for finish grinding relative to a load acting on the grinding surface of the abrasive tip in an inward direction of the grinding wheel is less than that of the abrasive tip for rough grinding. Thereby, the surface of a workpiece can be both rough-ground and finish-ground with superhigh-precision surface roughness with using one grinding wheel.

  • Publication number: 20100083744
Abstract: An inventive load apparatus for performance evaluation of a steering system has a simple construction and yet is capable of faithfully reproducing a tire load observed when the steering system is actually mounted on a motor vehicle. A compression load spring device (12) includes a piston (18) which is axially movable within a cylinder (17), and a pair of springs (20, 21) which resiliently urge the piston (18) to hold the piston (18) in a force balanced state at a neutral position in the cylinder. The piston (18) is connected to a rod (19) having one end (19a) serving as a load output portion. A load outputted from the load output portion (19a) is multiplied by a preset factor by means of a lever mechanism (13), and the resulting load is applied to the steering system (30).
