  • Patent number: 9428131
Abstract: Provided is an interior side wall structure for a vehicle in which a cylindrical shape of a shock-absorbing member can be crushed and deformed in an axial direction in an orderly manner upon vehicle side collision. When a collision load (F) is input to a shock-absorbing member (10) in the axial direction, a flange portion (13) at a peripheral edge of an open part is uniformly pressed against a door trim (4). At a connecting portion (15) of a peripheral wall (11), stress is distributed by an arc shaped face, whereby the development of crack is avoided, thus enabling even distribution of the load. At the connecting portion (15), buckling rigidity is adjusted by a slit for compression buckling adjustment (16) so as to substantially equalize the buckling rigidity at each portion of the peripheral wall (11), whereby the cylindrical shape of the shock-absorbing member (10) is crushed and deformed in the axial direction in an orderly manner.

  • Patent number: 8740282
Abstract: A coming-off preventing contacting piece 6 that extendingly projects in the radial direction of a shaft 3 throughout the entire periphery is formed in an insertion-side part 3a of the shaft 3 that turnably supports a sun visor body 1, and a contacted piece 7 with which the coming-off preventing contacting piece 6 contactingly engages is formed on the sun visor body 1 side to prevent the sun visor body 1 from coming off the shaft 3. Thereby, even if the sun visor body 1 receives a high expandingly deploying force of a curtain airbag, the concentrated load per unit area applied to the coming-off preventing contacting piece 6 is kept low, and therefore the coming-off preventing contacting piece 6 is restrained from being broken.

Abstract: A sun visor includes a sun-visor body, an auxiliary visor, a sub-plate and a spring. The auxiliary visor is attached to the sun-visor body slidably. The sub-plate is attached to the auxiliary visor to slide between a first position where the auxiliary visor receives the sub-plate and a second position where the sub-plate is withdrawn from the auxiliary visor. The spring urges the sub-plate toward the second position. The spring includes a base and two arm portions continuous to the base. The center portion of a spring wire forms the base of the spring. The two arm portions are bent to cross each other. A center portion of the base is convex toward an intersection of the two arm portions. The base abuts against one of the auxiliary visor and the sub-plate. The two arm portions abut against the other to urge the other elastically.
