  • Patent number: 6987881
Abstract: An image dividing means 2 analyzes the texture of input image, and on the basis of result of analysis it fully automatically divides the input image into a plurality of division areas. A density conversion curve generating means 3 determines a clip value for each division area on the basis of the broadness of dynamic range for determining a density histogram smoothing degree and generates a cumulative density histogram by using the determined clip valve for clipping. A density converting means 4 executes a density conversion process specific to each pixel in each division area, and outputs the result to an image output side apparatus. Thus, it is possible to permits automatically reducing loss of data outputted from an electronic imaging device to a monitor, a printer, etc.

  • Patent number: 6975110
Abstract: The invention relates to a magnetic sensor utilizing a magnetoresistance effect, a method for driving a magnetic sensor utilizing a magnetoresistance effect and a magnetic recording system, and an object of the invention is to overcome the restriction in the level of sensitivity due to the upper limit of the sensing current that can be made to flow. A magneto resistive element 4 is connected to a portion of a feedback loop of a transistor 2 and an LC circuit 3 in an oscillating circuit 1 formed of transistor 2 and LC circuit 3, which is provided with a switching means 5 so that the reading rate of magnetic data is regulated by the switching frequency of switching means 5.

  • Publication number: 20050233425
Abstract: A depolymerizing process of polylactic acid, wherein the polylactic acid is depolymerized in the presence of a hydrolase in an organic solvent or a supercritical fluid, thereby producing a re-polymerizable oligomer. A producing process of polylactic acid, wherein the re-polymerizable oligomer obtained by the above-mentioned depolymerization process is polymerized in the presence of a hydrolase or a polymerization catalyst.

  • Patent number: 6721426
Abstract: A signal processor with a small circuit size, a simplified arrangement, and reduced cost and which can generate the same sound field as that in a case of listening to a reproduced sound using speakers to a location outside of a head of the listener has FIR filters and reverberation adding circuits. At an addition point provided to a tap midpoint of one FIR filter, a delay output signal of a tap end from another FIR filter is multiplied by a predetermined multiplication coefficient and then added. Output of one FIR filter is subjected to reverberation adding processing by the reverberation adding circuits and then output of yet another FIR filter is added to the above output to obtain an output signal. Therefore, even if the FIR filters with short tap lengths are used, long impulse response can be reproduced and a scale of signal processing can be reduced substantially.

  • Patent number: 6587208
Abstract: The present invention expands a method of measuring the diameter, spatial distribution and so forth of micro liquid droplets by measuring the diameter of each out-of-focus image obtained by defocusing and the number of interference fringes in the out-of-focus image into a measuring method for micro gas bubbles and allows the method to be applied to a case where the spatial distribution density of micro liquid droplets and micro gas bubbles is high. A sheet-shaped parallel laser beam (2) is applied to a liquid space in which micro gas bubbles (10) are floating, and out-of-focus images of micro gas bubbles (10) irradiated with the laser beam (2) are captured at a defocus plane (8) through an objective lens (6) from a lateral direction which is at an angle &thgr; to the direction of travel of the laser beam.

  • Patent number: 6295030
Abstract: In an antenna apparatus proposed by the present invention, two inverted-F antennas having the same characteristics are supplied with power with phase difference of 180 degrees respectively. Therefore only radio wave of polarized wave in a predetermined direction can be radiated and deterioration in antenna characteristics due to leak currents can be prevented.
