  • Patent number: 10428443
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for producing a spun-bonded web from filaments, comprising spinnerets, a cooling chamber into which process air can be introduced in order to cool the filaments, a monomer suction device arranged between the spinnerets and the cooling chamber, a stretching unit, and a placing device for placing the filaments so as to form the spun-bonded web. The cooling chamber is divided into two cooling chamber portions. Process air can be suctioned out of a first upper cooling chamber portion to the monomer suction device with a volumetric flow rate Vm, and process air exits the first upper cooling chamber portion into a second lower cooling chamber portion with a volumetric flow rate V1. The volumetric flow rate ratio VM/V1 is 0.1 to 0.3.

  • Patent number: 10137629
Abstract: In blown film installations, it is known to provide longitudinal stretching of the produced double layer film strip downstream of the draw-off, more precisely downstream of the reversing unit and upstream of the winder. It is also known to stretch the down-drawn film, wherein the film must then be preheated owing to the long cooling path from the draw-off. According to a first feature, the present invention specifies warming the film above the draw-off and then treating it mechanically. The film can thereby be brought with only little energy from a first level of warmth to a temperature level at which it can easily be worked. According to a second feature, the invention specifies providing a tractive force breakdown brake.

  • Publication number: 20180126596
Abstract: An mixing section for an extrusion screw has an inlet end and an outlet end as well as alternating wiping lands and barrier lands. The wiping lands have a greater helix angle than the barrier lands. The wiping lands and the barrier lands define inlet channels which narrow toward the outlet end and outlet channels which widen toward the outlet end. A helical pattern of mixing channels is cut into the wiping lands and the barrier lands. The mixing channels may be oriented generally at approximately right angles to the wiping lands and the barrier lands. A portion of the extrudate encounters the inside wall surfaces of the mixing channels and changes direction which improves the mixing of the extrudate.

  • Patent number: 9951448
Abstract: An apparatus for the continuous manufacture of a spunbond web from aerodynamically stretched thermoplastic filaments has at least one spinneret, a cooling chamber for cooling the filaments, a stretcher, and a deposition device for the deposition of the filaments to form the spunbond web. At least one filament guide having a plurality of filament-guide gaps opens toward the stretcher between the stretcher and the deposition device, and the filament guide or at least one guide part of the filament guide can be moved such that the filament-guide gap or the stretcher-side openings thereof are displaced transversely to the travel direction of the spunbond web. Thus the filaments or filament bundles guided along or through the filament-guide gap are given a transverse orientation to the travel direction of the spunbond web when deposited onto the deposition device.

  • Patent number: 9856590
Abstract: A spunbond nonwoven from thermoplastic filaments is made by spinning the filaments from at least one spinner, cooling and stretching the spun filaments, depositing the cooled and stretched filaments on a surface to form a nonwoven fleece web, and moving the fleece web in a travel direction. A liquid medium is introduced into the moving fleece web and it is then mechanically needled. The mechanically needled web is then subject to a hydraulic or hydrodynamic final consolidation by hydroentanglement to a basis weight of more than 80 g/m2 from a top side as well as from a lower side of the nonwoven fleece web by high-pressure water-jet bars above and below the nonwoven fleece web. O of the bars is upstream of the other bar and has a hpi density that is smaller than that of the other bar and that is equal to at most 40.

  • Patent number: 9851036
Abstract: A coupling for conveying a fluid between a stationary part and a rotatable part having confronting ports centered on a rotation axis of the rotatable part has an axially extending tube fixed in the port of one of the parts and extending toward the port of the other of the parts and a control element axially slidable on the tube. The one part, the tube, and the control element form an annular chamber around the tube pressurizable for axially shifting the control element. A first slide ring is connected to the control element and carries a seal ring turned toward the port of the other part, and a second ring on the other part at the port thereof axially bears on the first slide ring so that pressurization of chamber presses the slide rings axially against each other.
