  • Patent number: 9720901
Abstract: A method for an automated text-evaluation service, and more particularly a method and apparatus for automatically evaluating text and returning a score which represents a degree of inappropriate language. The method is implemented in a computer infrastructure having computer executable code tangibly embodied in a computer readable storage medium having programming instructions. The programming instructions are configured to: receive an input text which comprises an unstructured message at a first computing device; process the input text according to a string-structure similarity measure which compares each word of the input text to a predefined dictionary to indicate whether there is similarity in meaning, and generate an evaluation score for each word of the input text and send the evaluation score to another computing device. The evaluation score for each input message is based on the string-structure similarity measure between each word of the input text and the predefined dictionary.

Abstract: The invention provides a white sintered glass-ceramic tile and a method for preparing the white sintered glass-ceramic tile. The white sintered glass-ceramic tile is a single fired tile with a glazed glass-ceramic layer and a porous glass-ceramic layer, wherein each layer is prepared using same starting raw materials. The method includes milling the starting raw materials to obtain a homogenous mixture. The homogenous mixture is melted and poured in water to obtain glass frits. The glass frits are milled and thereafter, sieved to obtain glass frit powder with particle size of below 100 micron (?m). A mixture of the glass frit powder and one or more foaming agents is cold pressed to form a porous glass-ceramic layer. Thereafter, the glass frit powder is deposited on the porous glass-ceramic layer to obtain a glazed glass-ceramic layer. Finally, both the layers are fired together.

Abstract: An apparatus consisting of hierarchically elaborated antenna modules is calibrated by steps. Although the AWV can be calculated mathematically based on the required phase shift values of each antenna element for a beam direction to compensate for signal delay. However, in practice, due to hardware implementation imperfection, coupling in signal path for each antenna element within hardware, inaccuracies of implementations, physical misalignment, the mathematically generated AWV does not necessarily provide alignment between transmit beam and receive beam. This subset is sufficient is all practical operation. The subset of AWVs are typically called codebook and the receiver beam points to different direction by using a AWV within the codebook.

Abstract: The invention provides an illumination measuring module which includes a housing and a photo detector. The housing is molded with a plurality of surfaces. Each surface of the housing is affixed with respective side edges of the plurality of the surfaces to form a predetermined shape. Each surface includes an external surface and an inner surface. One surface of the plurality of surfaces is a glass surface. The glass surface transmits illumination collected from an external ambience of the housing to one or more inner surfaces corresponding to the plurality of surfaces. On an inner surface of the glass surface, a plane white sheet is positioned which homogenously scatters illumination collected from the external ambience into the one or more inner surfaces in the housing. The photo detector measures scattered illumination diffused from the one or more inner surfaces corresponding to the plurality of surfaces.

  • Patent number: 9662635
Abstract: The catalytic composition for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide is a metal oxide supported by multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The metal oxide may be nickel oxide (NiO) or tin dioxide (SnO2). The metal oxides form 20 wt % of the catalyst. In order to make the catalysts, a metal oxide precursor is first dissolved in deionized water to form a metal oxide precursor solution. The metal oxide precursor solution is then sonicated and the solution is impregnated in a support material composed of multi-walled carbon nanotubes to form a slurry. The slurry is then sonicated to form a homogeneous solid solution. Solids are removed from the homogeneous solid solution and dried in an oven for about 24 hours at a temperature of about 110° C. Drying is then followed by calcination in a tubular furnace under an argon atmosphere for about three hours at a temperature of 450° C.

  • Publication number: 20170148127
Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for embedding a watermark in a digital image and recovering the watermark from the digital image. The method includes representing the plurality of binary bits in the watermark using a plurality of symbols, wherein each symbol of the plurality of symbols represents at least two binary bits. The plurality of symbols are then transformed into a plurality of pseudo noise (PN) sequences, wherein a symbol transformed into a PN sequence represents one or more PN sequence vectors from a set of PN sequence vectors. Once the transformation is done, the plurality of PN sequences are embedded in the digital image to generate a watermarked image. During recovery, the watermark is recovered from the watermarked image by identifying the plurality of PN sequences in the watermarked image for recovering the corresponding plurality of symbols associated with the watermark.

  • Patent number: 9657521
Abstract: A directional drilling system consisting of a four-motor drilling head for better steering in directional drilling and vertical/horizontal drilling is developed. The rotational speed of each motor is independently controlled. The use of four motors in coordination with other traditional drilling variables allow precise control of the drilling direction and optimization of the rate of penetration (ROP). The top and right motors rotate in opposite directions to the bottom and left rotors to stabilize the roll rotation of the drilling head. Inclination (pitch) movement is obtained by increasing/decreasing the speed of the top motor while decreasing/increasing the speed of the lower motor. The Azimuth (yaw) movement is obtained similarly using the right and left motors. The drilling power is derived from down hole motors. A drill string transmits the drilling fluid and force on bit.
