  • Patent number: 11223432
Abstract: An apparatus for determining unknown radio frequencies is described. The apparatus modulates a first optical signal from tunable optical source with RF signal that includes unknown center frequency value to generate modulated optical signal. The apparatus combines modulated optical signal with second optical signal to generate combined modulated optical signal. The apparatus receives output electrical signal from photodetector in response to receiving combined modulated optical signal at photodetector, splits output electrical signal into first output electrical signal and second output electrical signal, and filter first output electrical signal by applying first optical bandpass filter centered to generate first filtered RF signal. The apparatus tunes tunable optical source to first beat frequency value to determine unknown frequency value of RF signal.

  • Patent number: 11215977
Abstract: A fractional order Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Control (FOLADRC) system and a method thereof is disclosed. The FOLADRC system includes a fractional order state extended observer (FESO) controller circuit having a FESO controller. The FESO controller receives a process variable and plant output signal, estimates an input disturbance and an output disturbance and outputs disturbance cancelling feedback signals. The disturbance cancelling feedback signals are transmitted to multipliers present in a forward path of the FESO controller circuit. Further, the FESO controller has an observer gain vector and a cross over frequency bandwidth. The FESO controller incrementally changes the observer gain vector and the FESO controller bandwidth until a closed loop transfer function of the FESO controller converges, thus exhibiting an iso-damping property.

  • Publication number: 20210401111
Abstract: A shoe extension for gait modification includes a vamp section, a base section, an attachment strap, and a restraining mechanism. The vamp section is connected to a top surface of the base section forming a receiving slot. A toe box of a shoe worn on a healthy limb is slidably positioned into the receiving slot such that the base section is positioned along an outsole of the shoe. The attachment strap is utilized to establish a connection with the shoe. By increasing an overall length of the footwear worn on the healthy limb, a speed of motion of the healthy limb may be reduced in order to increase weight bearing on the unhealthy limb. The restraining mechanism, which is preferably integrated into a bottom surface of the base section, may also be used to reduce the speed of motion of the healthy limb.
