  • Patent number: 5243127
Abstract: The noise absorber for an electrical wire of electronic equipment having a pair of mating members, at least a portion of which is molded of magnetic resin. The wire of electronic equipment, when positioned between the pair of mating members, is completely surrounded by the members molded of magnetic resin, so that magnetic flux is not excluded. Therefore, any noise generated within the wire is absorbed by the noise absorber.

  • Patent number: 5243130
Abstract: A housing provided with centrally located electricallyconductive wires and apertures which extend to the conductive wires located inside the walls of the housing. When electrically conductive members are inserted into the apertures and touch the electrically conductive wires, electrical connection can be obtained. Thus, the conductive wires inside the wall of the housing easily allow connection between electronic components or between the electronic components and a power source. The housing is also advantageous in miniaturizing electronic equipment.

  • Patent number: 5219134
Abstract: A cord clamp has relatively rotatable annular members locatable in at least three relative orientations. Therefore, the mounting angle of the annular members, for example, onto the inside of a cabinet can be adjusted in a wide range, thus increasing work efficiency and improving usage. In addition the cord clamp has a retainer for releasably locking the annular members together and preventing the annular members from being released unexpectedly. Thus, the cord clamp secure the holding or gripping of a cord.

  • Patent number: 5209964
Abstract: A conductive sheet for shielding electromagnetic waves of this invention has high flexibility in the same direction as a wire. The conductive sheet 10, therefore, is easy to bend along the shape of the wire. Additionally, since conductive sheet 10 preferably maintains its shape in a direction perpendicular to the wire, it is possible to make a conductive link, that is, to make an electrical contact easily, only by applying slight pressure to conductive sheet 10 to change its shape. Moreover, since the metals composing the warp and the weft of the conductive sheet keep the potential difference of the metals below a predetermined voltage at the contact point of both metals, contact corrosion as a practical problem at the predetermined point is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5187225
Abstract: The sealant compound of this invention comprises polyurethane resin or its precursor mixed with vapor grown carbon fiber. In the compound, whisker-shaped carbon fibers with high tensile strength intertwine and form lattices. In addition, carbon fibers are anchored in the polyurethane resin. Consequently, the compound of this invention has more tensile strength than the conventional compound containing black carbon. Thus the seal consisting of the compound of this invention has high adhesion and sealing effects.

  • Patent number: 5187648
Abstract: A guide rail for a printed circuit board mounted in a partially conductive housing comprises a conductive guide member and an insulative fixing member. The guide member is inserted into a receiving portion of the fixing member from an inlet formed in the bottom thereof. In this condition, contact members of the guide member project outwardly from the inlet. Then, the fixtures of the fixing member are secured to the housing. Since the operator only touches the insulative fixing member to perform the above mounting, corrosion of the guide member is prevented. The contact members projecting outwardly from the inlet is deflected toward the receiving portion of the fixing member when the fixing member is secured to the housing, thereby intimately contacting to a conductive portion of the housing. Thus, a stable connection between the guide member and the housing is attained.

  • Patent number: 5152650
Abstract: A tightening member molded from hard synthetic resin containing carbon fiber developed from hyperfine particles of a high-melting metal and/or a compound of the high-melting metal by use of vapor phase system for thermally decomposing hydrocarbon. The tightening member effectively prevents electrification of static electricity due to its high conductivity given by the carbon fiber and is bestowed with mechanical properties such as tensile strength.

  • Patent number: 5142101
Abstract: An electromagnetic-shielding gasket of the present invention shields electronic components from electromagnetic waves by covering a surface of a resilient core with metal mesh and inserting the core into a joint of a conductive housing which contains electronic components. The core comprises an installing portion which is fixed to the joint of the conductive housing. A segregating portion or area separates the metal mesh from the surface of the core in the corner portions so that when the core elastically deforms greatly during insertion or use of the gasket, the metal mesh does not break as the core presses and pulls the metal mesh.

  • Patent number: 5120903
Abstract: In an electromagnetic shielding member, an upper structure and a lower structure are connected integrally by attaching a connecting member covered with a conductive member onto the gripping member of the lower structure. A thin metal strip is inserted as the connecting member between the upper structure and the lower structure. Since the upper structure provides a sufficient resilience against a cover member of an enclosure to which the electromagnetic shielding member is fitted, the gap between the cover member and the enclosure is small, thereby enhancing an electromagnetic shielding effect. The lower structure has a double coated adhesive tape to connect to the enclosure. Instead of using the double coated adhesive tape, the lower structure can have a cavity for receiving an edge of the enclosure at its wall surface. When the enclosure edge engages the cavity of the lower structure, a spring member in the cavity of the lower structure deflects according to the thickness of the edge.

  • Patent number: 5120351
Abstract: This invention is a ferrite molding made by a manufacturing method of molding and sintering ferrite particles, which are made by pre-sintering of magnetic materials including iron oxide, together with metallic particles mixed therein by a hydrostatic pressing at extra-high pressure, whereby metal fills in between the ferrite particles. The ferrite molding has improved ductility so as to resist chipping and breaking and has extremely low hydroscopicity so as to maintain its characteristics.

  • Patent number: 5112419
Abstract: In the present invention, a method for producing strip cable provided on its periphery with the meshed conductive metal or the woven fiber coated with a conductive material. The method produces a flat cable having multiple signal conductive members encase in an insulating material with the mesh metal outer layer fastened to the outer surface of the insulating material. The strip cable is thus protected from electromagnetic waves. Since the strip cable fails to function as an antenna, the electronic equipment connected to the strip cable does not require a shielding material. By using the strip cable provided with a electromagnetic-shielding effect, electromagnetic waves can be avoided easily and inexpensively. In addition, the varieties of design can be allowed for the electronic equipment.

  • Patent number: 5107083
Abstract: A pushbutton switch comprising a main body and a contact member supported by thin radial flanges. The main body is integrally molded of synthetic resin and composed of a plurality of switch buttons with cavities and open bottoms, thin flexible portions provided in communication with the peripheries of the switch buttons, and a base plate provided in communication with the peripheries of the flexible portions for supporting the switch buttons via the flexible portions. The contact member is made of conductive material at least at its bottom and is inserted into the cavity of the switch button. The thin flanges project from the contact member and are pressed onto the inner surface of the switch button so as to support the contact member to be movable in the axial direction of the switch button. The thin flanges can absorb vibration generated when the switch button is pressed hard and prevent the contact member from vibrating and chattering.

  • Patent number: 5107071
Abstract: A sealing and shielding structure of the present invention comprises an elastic sealing member and an electromagnetic shideling member provided in a cavity formed at least in one of a first member and a second member both of which have conductive abutting faces. The elastic sealing member is, for example, slightly larger than the electromagnetic shielding member so as to be pressed between the first and the second members. Accordingly, when the first and the second members are closed, the elastic sealing member is compressed and deformed to push the electromagnetic shielding member so that the electromagnetic shielding member closely contacts with the conductive abutting faces of the first and the second members. Consequently, the sealing and shielding structure can produce a prominent electromagnetic wave shielding effect because of the electromagnetic shielding member kept in close contact with the conductive abutting faces of the first and the second members.
