Abstract: A method generates, by a control system, mutually synchronized control signals to an elevator system residing in a building and to at least one mobile robot operating in the building. The method includes: receiving a service request from an external system; detecting that an accomplishment of a requested service requires a service from both the elevator system and the at least one mobile robot; generating a first control signal to the elevator system and a second control signal to the at least mobile robot, the control signals causing the elevator system and the at least one mobile robot to operate in a synchronized manner to accomplish a service. The invention also relates to a control system and a computer program product.

  • Patent number: 11498803
Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided an elevator car parking brake. An operating fork is configured to move within a housing in a direction perpendicular to an end surface of a guide rail in response to operating an actuator. When the actuator is operated to move the operating fork within the housing towards the guide rail to achieve a braking state, the operating fork is configured to push braking wedges towards side surfaces of the guide rail to contact the side surfaces. When the actuator is operated to move the operating fork within the housing away from the guide rail to achieve a brake release state, detaching means are configured to pull the braking wedges away from the side surfaces of the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 11485607
Abstract: The solution relates to controlling a generation of an elevator landing call. In the solution, at least two different types of sensors are monitored. In response to a detection that the at least one first type sensor generates an indication on a detection, data indicating a detection by the at least one second type sensor is inquired. If the data inquired does not indicate the detection by the at least one second type sensor a signal is generated causing the generation of the elevator landing call. • Patent number: 11453570
Abstract: Conventionally, elevator communications have been implemented using travelling cables. This is particularly the case when safety related data transmitted from an elevator car has to fulfil real-time restrictions often set by regulators so that the receiving of the information may not be delayed. Typically, this cannot be guaranteed when wireless transmission technologies are used. The reliability can be increased by using a second to supplement the wireless transmission.

  • Publication number: 20220297977
Abstract: An elevator safety system includes an electronic safety controller running a software including a monitoring mode for monitoring the position of an elevator car within a hoistway. The system includes a position measurement device for measuring the elevator car position. There are limit position identification markers being installed in the hoistway for defining a starting point of a final movement zone in which the car is still allowed to run in a direction to the outermost ends of the hoistway. However, as soon as the end of the final limit zone is reached by the car, an emergency stop is triggered. The position data for the final limit zone are laid down in a memory of the safety controller as parametrized data for being able to adjust them if so needed. Therewith, it can be avoided that the hardware components in the shaft have to be replaced.
