Abstract: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes: an image generator that generates ultrasound image data based on a reception signal received from an ultrasound probe that sends and receives ultrasound waves; a fastener that attaches the ultrasound probe to a subject and fastens the ultrasound probe on the subject such that a pressure applied to the subject to which the ultrasound probe is attached is adjustable; and a hardware processor. The hardware processor controls driving of the fastener, based on difference information between before fastening the ultrasound probe and during/after fastening the ultrasound probe, the difference information being on at least one of positional information on a position of an observation target of the subject, angle information on an angle of the observation target, and pressure information on a pressure applied to the subject.
Abstract: An image forming device includes: an image forming unit that forms an image on a transfer medium; and a controller that controls multiple image readers capable of performing image reading for the same surface of the transfer medium, and acquires reading results from the image readers. The controller is capable of performing failure/no-failure determination for the image on the transfer medium based on the reading results, of switching image reading by the multiple image readers between reading by a first number of image readers and reading by a second number of image readers, the second number being smaller than the first number, and of enabling, while the second number of image readers perform reading, at least one of the other image readers to execute a maintenance operation for the at least one of the other image readers.

Abstract: An image inspection apparatus includes the following. A reader reads a sheet in which an image is printed, reads the sheet together with a background, and obtains a read image. A background member is provided in a position which is to be a background of the sheet when the sheet is read by the reader. A hardware processor extracts sheet outline information of the sheet from the read image and measures a misalignment of a position of the image with relation to the sheet based on the extracted sheet outline information. The hardware processor performs control based on a measured result of the misalignment of the position of the image. The hardware processor adjusts a degree of control performed based on the measured result of the misalignment of the position of the image according to a density difference between the sheet and the background member.

Abstract: A rotation detector includes a motor, a current detector and a hardware processor. The motor includes coils of two or more phases and a rotor. The current detector detects currents flowing in coils of at least two phases among the coils of two or more phases. The hardware processor estimates an initial position of the rotor based on current values of the currents detected by the current detector to start the motor, controls an energization pattern on the phases to rotate and start the motor based on the estimated initial position, and determines whether the rotor stops or is rotating before completing the estimation of the initial position.
