  • Patent number: 7147091
Abstract: A one-way clutch includes an outer race, wherein a plurality of windows are formed in one plate-like member, is placed so as to be relatively rotatable with respect to an inner race wherein two plate-like members overlay each other and a ball raceway surface is formed by curved portions formed in outer peripheries of the plate-like members. Balls are accommodated in the windows. The face of each of the windows on the side of the outer periphery of the outer race is formed as a cam surface wherein the distance with respect to the ball raceway surface is reduced in a circumferential direction. Urging means for urging the balls in the direction is disposed. The maximum width of the one-way clutch is equal to the ball diameter and the thicknesses of the two plate-like members constituting the inner race, so that a one-way clutch of a reduced width is obtained.

  • Patent number: 7143683
Abstract: A control valve controls hydraulic pressure of oil supplied to a hydraulic actuator for generating steering assist power, based on elastic relative rotation between input and output shafts. A restricting device restricts relative rotation between input and output shafts based on a driving condition of the vehicle, and adjusts the hydraulic pressure for pressing the input shaft via a plunger inserted into a guide bore formed in the output shaft, based on the driving condition of the vehicle by the hydraulic pressure adjustment mechanism. The plunger is guided by the inner circumference of the guide bore along the direction that the plunger approaches to and goes away from the output shaft when the input and output shafts relatively rotate. A friction reducing element is interposed between the inner circumference of the guide bore and the outer circumference of the plunger.

  • Patent number: 7127921
Abstract: Engagement parts 52c of the locking device for a steering shaft are formed on a side face of a driven gear of a reduction gear mechanism which is fastened to a steering shaft 2. Since a locking part 6a is arranged near the reduction gear mechanism, elements related to a locking function can be removed from the key cylinder of the engine key, so that the key cylinder of the engine key can be downsized, or can be arranged in another position. Consequently, even in a state where a reduction gear mechanism, a steering assist motor and the like are arranged in the middle of the steering shaft, a longer stroke of the impact absorbing mechanism in comparison with conventional mechanisms can be ensured, utilizing a decrease in length of the downsized or reduced key cylinder in the axial direction of the steering shaft 2.

  • Patent number: 7125173
Abstract: In a bearing device in which a free end of a shaft body to which a rolling bearing is mounted is bent outward in its radial direction into a shape to be pushed against an end face of an inner ring of the rolling bearing so as to prevent the rolling bearing from falling out, a raceway surface of the inner ring of the rolling bearing is subjected to hardening treatment, and another portion of the inner ring is made of raw material which is not hardened. With this arrangement, the caulked portion formed by the caulking plastically deforms the relatively soft inner peripheral corner of the inner ring and as a result, the caulked portion and the inner peripheral corner are adhered to each other strongly.

  • Patent number: 7126304
Abstract: A microcomputer includes a rotation angular velocity computation section, a feedback gain determination section, and a dead time compensation amount determination section. The rotation angular velocity determination section computes the rotation angular velocity of a brushless motor. Based on the rotation angular velocity, the feedback gain determination section determines feedback gains. The dead time compensation amount determination section determines a dead time compensation amount. The greater the absolute value of the rotation angular velocity, that is, the higher the rotation speed of the brushless motor, the greater the feedback gains determined by the feedback gain determination section become, and the higher the responsivity of the feedback gains becomes. The greater the absolute value of the rotation angular velocity, the smaller the dead time compensation amount determined by the dead time compensation amount determination section becomes.
