    Abstract: A method and apparatus for the placement of a bridge element using a vehicle having a placement arm, and a use of the apparatus. The placement arm has at least one drive element adapted to cooperate with the bridge element. A braking device is disposed in the vicinity of the deposition end of the placement arm and cooperates with the bridge element during a placement procedure. The bridge element is braked via an engagement element of the braking device. Movement of the bridge element in a longitudinal direction can be measured and monitored, and in the event of an uncontrolled movement the bridge element can be braked.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for defending against airborne assault ammunition. The assault ammunition is located with at least one position-locating device. The flight path of the assault ammunition is iteratively calculated using the determined ballistic coefficient of the assault ammunition. A firing control solution is determined for firing a fragmentation-type defense ammunition, which is fired with a large-caliber weapon, especially one having a caliber of at least 76 mm. A fuse of the defense ammunition is set after the firing and/or the defense ammunition is remotely detonated, and after the firing the defense ammunition is ignited or remotely ignited at an ignition time point TZ. Alternatively, the ignition of the defense ammunition is initiated by a proximity igniter disposed in the defense ammunition.

Disposed below the turret body portion is a shell magazine in which is installed a shell transporter that grasps the shells and supplies them to a shell-raising mechanism, by means of which the shells are conveyed from the shell magazine into the turret body portion. A shell transfer arm, pivotably mounted on the trunnion of the weapon, carries at one end a charger that in the raised position of the shell transfer arm is aligned with the gun bore axis of the weapon, and in the lowered position is aligned with the direction of movement of the shell-raising mechanism. The shells are introduced from the shell-raising mechanism directly into the charger and after pivoting-up of the shell transferring arm are supplied to the weapon.

Before the injection process, the cavity surface is heated by the heat channel to a higher temperature than the demolding temperature of the plastic article to be formed. At the end of the injection process, the cavity surface is cooled by the cooling system.
