    Abstract: A method for designing a non-circular dielectric resonator is provided. The method includes obtaining a conformal transformation coordinate of the non-circular dielectric resonator to correspond to a rectangular coordinate system of a circular dielectric resonator, mapping the obtained conformal transformation coordinate to the non-circular dielectric resonator, and setting a refractive index in the non-circular resonator and allowing an incident angle of light to satisfy a condition for total reflection in each of boundary areas in a non-circular dielectric resonator to which the conformal transformation coordinate is mapped.

    Abstract: Provided is an active lens structure. The active lens structure has a configuration in which a polarization switching section and a polarization dependent lens section are integrally formed, wherein a lattice structure is formed on an upper surface of a liquid crystal phase polymer layer of the polarization dependent lens section, and the liquid crystal phase polymer layer is aligned in a top-down manner and is used as a lower alignment film of a liquid crystal layer. Therefore, the polarization switching section of the active lens structure can be fabricated without any lower alignment film and any lower glass substrate, so that it is possible to minimize the total thickness and simplifying the manufacturing process.

    Abstract: Provided is a probe for detecting in vivo hydrogen sulfide, specifically, a probe for detecting hydrogen sulfide including a complex compound into which a radioactive isotope Cu is introduced. According to specific embodiments of the present disclosure, as a result of real-time observing animal models, in which hydrogen sulfide involved in various diseases is generated in a large quantity, through optical and nuclear medicine imaging, the probe for detecting hydrogen sulfide according to the present disclosure may selectively bind with hydrogen sulfide to provide images of a site where hydrogen sulfide has abnormally increased in a cell or a tissue, thereby detecting a disease in an unexpected site without affecting the anatomical properties of the body. In addition, the probe for detecting hydrogen sulfide quickly reacts with hydrogen sulfide, thereby solving the existing problem of waiting a predetermined time for testing after an imaging agent is injected.

    Abstract: Provided is a composition for preventing, improving or treating obesity, which includes a Platycodon grandiflorum extract as an active ingredient and a method for preparing the extract with an improved anti-obesity effect. The extract shows an effect of inhibiting increases in body weight and fat mass caused by a high-fat diet for normalization, an increase in fasting blood glucose and a decrease in energy expenditure in a diet-induced obesity mouse model. Further, compared to an extract prepared by a conventional extraction method, the Platycodon grandiflorum extract shows a more excellent effect of inhibiting increases in body weight and fat mass, fasting blood glucose, and blood lipid and adipokine contents in experiments, resulting in an excellent anti-obesity effect. Therefore, the Platycodon grandiflorum extract prepared is expected to be useful for preventing obesity and treating obesity-related complications that can be caused by an increase in fat mass as well as obesity.
