  • Patent number: 12334229
Abstract: A nuclear reactor control assembly includes a reactivity control device comprising a control rod cluster and a drive rod. The control rod cluster comprises an attaching head. The drive rod comprises an attaching device for connecting the drive rod to the attaching head. The attaching device is movable between a connection position and a disconnection position. The drive rod and the attaching device define an axial trough recess forming a sleeve. A checking device is used for checking separation between the control rod cluster and the drive rod. The checking device comprises a probe rod which is free to move translationally in the sleeve. A lower end of the probe rod can abut the attaching head. Relative displacement of the probe rod with respect to the drive rod can be used to determine whether the drive rod is separated from the control rod cluster.

  • Patent number: 12336241
Abstract: A nanowire structure is manufactured by forming islands of conductive material on a substrate, and a conductive sacrificial layer in the space between conductive islands. The conductive islands include an anodic etch barrier layer. An anodizable layer is formed, over the conductive islands and sacrificial layer, and anodized to form a porous template. Nanowires are formed in regions of the porous template that overlie the conductive islands. Removal of the porous template and sacrificial layer leaves a nanowire structure including isolated groups of nanowires connected to respective conductive islands which function as current collectors. Respective stacks of conductive and insulator layers are formed over different groups of the nanowires to form respective capacitors that are electrically isolated from one another. A monolithic component may thus be formed including an array of isolated capacitors formed over nanowires.

  • Patent number: 12329667
Abstract: A stent incorporating flexible, preferably polymeric, connecting elements into the stent wherein these elements connect adjacent, spaced-apart stent elements. Preferably the spaced-apart adjacent stent elements are the result of forming the stent from a helically wound serpentine wire having space provided between adjacent windings. Other stent forms such as multiple, individual spaced-apart ring-shaped or interconnected stent elements may also be used. The connecting elements are typically web-shaped and result from creating slits or apertures in a covering of graft material applied to the stent and then, for example, applying heat to cause the slits or apertures to enlarge. The remaining graft material forms the interconnecting webs between the adjacent stent elements.

  • Publication number: 20250194268
Abstract: A method produces a microelectronics device by hybrid bonding of individual chips onto a handle wafer, of the Die-to-Wafer type, includes a flow protocol for thinning the rear substrate of the chips. The flow protocol includes a pre-thinning grinding of the rear substrate of the individual chips once they have been attached to the wafer. This grinding is preceded by the formation of a protective layer protecting the trenches formed by the spaces between the attached individual chips. Next, a rectification etching rectifies the height of the rear substrate of each of the attached individual chips, via chemical wet etching, to eliminate the Total Thickness Variation. This etching is selective with respect to an etch-stop element contained in the respective substrates of the attached chips and which is used to stop the etching at a level that is substantially uniform for each of the chips.

  • Publication number: 20250191338
Abstract: Aspects of hair classification, and networks therefor are provided including aspects to train such networks. There is provided a classifier model to alleviate the impact of human bias where the modeling of the real label distribution and annotators' biases are separated by incorporating annotator confusion matrices into a baseline model. To further improve the model performance leveraging unlabeled data, the model was trained using a consistency-based semi-supervised learning framework. With the use of only 1000 labeled data, the final classifier model achieved a classification accuracy that was 20% higher than a human professional annotator. The trained model can be used for a wide range of downstream tasks, including being used as a color classifier to train generative models for hair color translation.
