Abstract: A method is provided by a network node for restricting access attempts by a plurality of mobile stations (MSs). The network node supports a Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) having a plurality of Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs). The method includes determining that an overload condition is occurring. Responsive to determining that the overload condition is occurring, an Implicit Reject indication is communicated within one or more Access Grant Channel (AGCH) messages or Paging Channel (PCH) messages to the MSs identifying that an Implicit Reject feature is active to restrict access attempts to the network node. A broadcast message is communicated to the MSs containing information identifying at least one of the PLMNs to which the Implicit Reject feature applies. Any of the MSs registered with the at least one of the PLMNs identified by the information can restrict their access attempts to the network node. A corresponding method by a MS and corresponding network nodes and MSs are provided.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a condensed phase batch process for synthesis of trisilylamine (TSA). An improved synthesis process that incorporates a solvent to help promote a condensed-phase reaction between ammonia gas (or liquid) and liquified monochlorosilane (MCS) in good yields is described. This process facilitates the removal of the byproduct waste with little to no reactor down time, substantial reduction of down-stream solids contamination and high-purity product from first-pass distillation.

  • Publication number: 20140053241
Abstract: There is disclosed a system for authentication of a device in a network by establishing a second security context between the device and a serving network node when a first security context has previously been established, assisted by an authentication server, based on a random value and a secret shared between an identity module associated with the device and the authentication server. First re-use information from the establishment of the first security context is stored at the authentication server and at the device, the first re-use information enabling secure generation of the second security context from the random value and the secret. Second re-use information may be generated or stored at the device. A context regeneration request is generated at the device, the context regeneration request authenticated at least partly based on the secret. The context regeneration request is sent to the serving network node.

  • Publication number: 20140051387
Abstract: Method and arrangement in a charging function to support charging for services in a communications network. When receiving a request for charging information from a session control node serving a communication device, the charging function determines at least one characteristic of the device, e.g. by fetching it from a device characteristics repository where such device characteristics are maintained for devices in the network. The charging function then sets a charging level for a service requested or consumed by the device, based on the characteristic(s) of the device, and sends a response with the set charging level to the session control node, to enable device characteristic dependent charging for the requested or consumed service.

Abstract: A method for reporting positioning data from a node B in a START oo cellular communication system comprises performing (210), in a node B, of a measurement of a time of radio signal propagation concerning signalling with a first user equipment within a coverage of the node B. The measurement gives a time value. The time value is coded (212), in the node B, as a multi-symbol time report sequence. Auxiliary positioning information data concerning the first user equipment is obtained (214) in the node B. At least one symbol of the multi-symbol time report sequence is modified (216) (218) in the node B, for representing the auxiliary positioning information data. The modified multi-symbol time report sequence is reported from the node B. A positioning method, a node B and a positioning node are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140049079
Abstract: A seating unit that includes a linkage mechanism adapted to adjust between closed, extended, and reclined positions is provided. The linkage mechanism includes a seat-mounting plate mounted to a footrest assembly, a back-mounting link and a rear bellcrank both rotatably coupled to the seat-mounting plate, an activator bar that controls a footrest drive link, and a linear actuator for carrying out automated adjustment of the linkage assembly. In operation, a stroke in a first phase of the linear actuator generates a torque on the activator bar. The footrest drive link converts the torque into a laterally-directed force that pushes the footrest assembly into the extended position. A stroke in the second phase acts to push the activator bar forward and translate the seat-mounting plate forward at a consistent inclination angle. The forward translation causes the rear bellcrank to rotate, thereby biasing the back-mounting link rearward into the reclined position.

  • Patent number: 8655988
Abstract: In order to put a network access node such as a wireless router or home gateway in a home network in operation, the node needs to be configured with several parameters requiring technical skills that an ordinary user often does not have. The present invention solves this problem by introducing a system and a method to assist the user to configure the router. The system comprises a web based wizard, an inference engine coupled to said wizard and a knowledge base coupled to said inference engine. The wizard guides the user to provide input which together with stored information retrieved from the knowledge base is processed by the inference engine. The inference engine further generates configuration data that is stored in the wireless router or home gateway. The user can without detailed technical knowledge easily configure the router.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method 20 in a base station 2 for determining a transmission rank. The base station 2 controls two or more transmit antenna ports 3a, 3b for supporting a multi-antenna transmission mode and for transmission of data on a channel for communication with a user equipment 4. The method 20 comprises receiving 21 a rank indicator from a user equipment 4, the rank indicator indicating the number of spatial multiplexing layers recommended by the user equipment 4, and determining 22 the transmission rank based on a channel imbalance factor CIF, wherein the channel imbalance factor CIF quantifies a difference in receive power of the two or more transmit antenna ports 3a, 3b. • Patent number: 8654875
Abstract: The teachings herein provide a method and apparatus for partitioning sets of MIMO streams, for joint processing. In particular, there is an optimum or otherwise best partitioning of a set of MIMO streams into a first subset to be jointly processed and a second subset to be suppressed as interference with respect to that joint processing. Of course, more than one partitioning may be used, e.g., across different joint processing stages and/or at different times, such that all streams of interest are processed. Correspondingly, the present invention provides a method and apparatus for selecting an optimum or otherwise relative “best” subset of MIMO streams for processing together in a joint process, from among a larger set of MIMO streams. The method and apparatus may, for example, be employed in a multi-stage joint processing receiver, where subset selections are performed on a per-stage basis.

  • Patent number: 8654728
Abstract: A method is disclosed that can be performed in at least one network node which provides wireless communications service for user equipment nodes (UEs). The method includes detecting uplink interference at an interfered network node. Responsive to the uplink interference, an uplink transmission having a defined configuration is initiated from a UE, which is served by a serving network node. The uplink signal is detected using the defined configuration at the interfered network node. The UE is identified responsive to the detected uplink signal as being a contributor to the uplink interference. An uplink transmission by the UE and/or by another UE served by the serving network node is controlled to reduce uplink interference.
