  • Patent number: 8610512
Abstract: A synthesizer includes a second frequency-synthesizing stage comprising a radiofrequency oscillator configured to oscillate at a frequency ?fo when it is synchronized with a signal s0(t), where ? is a rational number different from one such that ?f0=ft. The radiofrequency oscillator has a magnetoresistive device within which there flows a spin-polarized electrical current to generate a signal st(t) oscillating at the frequency ft on an output electrode connected to the rendering terminal. This device is formed by a stack of magnetic and non-magnetic layers, a synchronization terminal for synchronizing the frequency of the oscillating signal st(t) with the frequency of the signal received at the synchronization terminal. The synchronization terminal being connected to the output terminal of the first stage to receive the signal s0(t).

  • Patent number: 8611353
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements in an MPLS-TP network, comprising a plurality of interconnected routers configured for MPLS-TP, wherein at least a first router is defined as an originating Maintenance End Point, MEP, a second router is defined as a targeting MEP and the third router is defined as a Maintenance Intermediate Point, MIP. The basic idea of the present invention is to associate a table with each MIP and MEP, wherein the tables comprises information related to the MEPs of the MPLS-TP network and the information from the tables is inserted in the reply packets and forwarded packets. By using this information, the OAM packets can find the subsequent MIP or MEP and failure localization may be performed.

  • Patent number: 8610500
Abstract: A predistorter applies a distortion function to an input signal to predistort the input signal. The output of the distortion function is modeled as the sum of the output signals from the orthogonal basis functions weighted by corresponding weighting coefficients. Techniques are described for orthogonalizing the basis function output signals depending on the distribution of the input signal.

  • Patent number: 8609125
Abstract: A medical device provided with at least a partial surface coating of a thermoplastic copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkylvinylether that is free of cross-linking monomers and curing agents. The fluoropolymer coating is preferably an amorphous thermoplastic, is highly inert and biocompatible, has elastomeric characteristics that provide desirable mechanical properties such as good flexibility and durability. These characteristics allow the coating to be considered “functionally transparent” because it withstands mechanical deformations required for the assembly, deployment, expansion, and placement of medical devices, without any adverse effect on the mechanical and biological functionality of the coated device. Further, its inertness, derived from the perfluorocarbon structure, contributes to its functionally transparent nature.

  • Patent number: 8611214
Abstract: In scenarios where the quality of service is negotiated through a signalling layer whereas the services are actually carried through a bearer layer, application functions at the signalling layer are not always aware of how quality of service is individually accomplished at the bearer layer on a service basis. The invention provides a method and devices whereby events are detected on a service data flow basis at a detection device in the bearer layer and notified towards an application device in the signalling layer via a control device between the signalling and the bearer layer. The list of events to be notified is obtainable at the control device from the application device and is included in Quality of Service related rules, along with service data flow filters. This Quality of Service related rules are provided to the detection device for inspecting individual service data flows in order to detect and notify the indicated events.

  • Patent number: 8611878
Abstract: An arrangement and method in a wireless communication network provides users with full control of service management, defines how a user can enter or leave services, and defines dependencies between services. A mobile terminal initiates establishment of a group and creates a unique groupID. The terminal sends invitations to other terminals to join the group and includes the unique groupID and a service feature tag for a desired service. The terminal will not request a service if it is incompatible with a service already running. Terminals that receive invitations store the groupID and service feature tags. These parameters are used to send acceptances or rejections, and to join later or leave a service.

  • Patent number: 8608031
Abstract: A dispensing head which can be mounted on a receptacle. The dispensing head includes a pump, for surmounting the receptacle, with an actuating rod having a longitudinal axis X. A diffuser is mounted on the pump, and includes a tube opening at a dispensing orifice, with the tube being elongated along an axis Y distinct from the axis X. A lever arm controls the actuation of the pump, with the lever arm including a portion capable of coming to bear on the diffuser in order to actuate the pump. In addition, a locking member is configured such that, in a first position, the locking member allows actuation of the pump and, in a second position, the locking member prevents actuation of the pump. In a disclosed example, in the second position the tube abuts against a portion of the locking member to prevent actuation of the pump.

  • Patent number: 8611896
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a communication system can keep track of the cell/frequency deployment of a network operator preferred by the user, and based on the tracked information, the UE can build up its own user-specific Neighbor Cell List. When the UE is roaming, the UE does received-signal measurements according to cells and carrier frequencies identified in the broadcast Neighbor Cell Lists of the roamed-into network, but the UE also does received-signal measurements (with higher priority) according to the user-specific Neighbor Cell List that it has built up. Accordingly, a UE implementing a user-specific Neighbor Cell List analyzes its radio environment based on received signals and stores information about that environment, including user-preference information that prioritizes cells in the radio environment. The UE can then carry out cell search based on the stored environment and user-preference information.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus and a computer program for controlling updating of a signal quality target (405) for power control of an ongoing radio transmission (101) in a radio communication system (SYS1), wherein the signal quality target is updated based on communication quality. The method includes detecting (301) a change in transmission format from a first transmission format to a second transmission format for the radio transmission. Any updates causing the signal quality target to increase due to communication quality being below a set communication quality target are blocked (302) for a predefined blocking period after detecting said change in transmission format.

  • Patent number: 8611289
Abstract: A method and mobile terminal for controlling a radio receiver of the mobile terminal to receive a radio signal transmitted by a telecommunications network to a plurality of mobile terminals. The telecommunications network transmits the signal within a signal frame (FR), the signal including an encoded digital content. The mobile terminal determines a signal quality of the signal, and determines, depending upon the signal quality, a reception time scheme (tr) for the radio receiver. The mobile terminal controls the radio receiver to receive the signal for different time periods in accordance with the reception time scheme, depending upon whether the signal quality is above or below a threshold value.
