Abstract: A method for noise rise estimation in a wireless communication system comprises measuring (210) of received total wideband power a plurality of times and computing (212) of an estimate of a noise floor measure based on at least a number of the measured received total wideband powers. The method further comprises performing (214) of an interference whitening based on one of GRAKE, GRAKE+ and chip equalizer for a first user and determining (216) of a user equivalent total wideband power as an available total wideband power after the interference whitening for the first user. The estimate of a noise floor measure is compensated (218) for the interference whitening into a user equivalent noise floor measure and a noise rise measure for the first user is calculated (220) based at least on the user equivalent total wideband power and the user equivalent noise floor measure.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method in a radio base station for transmitting information of an allocation of a radio resource allocated to a second user equipment. Abstract: A method in a radio network node for communicating with a user equipment (UE) during communication between the radio network node and a radio base station in a radio communications network. The radio network node serves the UE within a cell and communicates with the radio base station and the UE over a frequency spectrum in a time division duplexing configuration. The radio network node sets up a first connection over a first part of the frequency spectrum to the radio base station, and a second connection to the UE over the first or a second part of the frequency spectrum. Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention relates to a method UE and UE for estimating a relative interference load in an LTE network. Abstract: Presented are methods and apparatus for decoupling transport and control (T&C) functions from a plurality of eNBs and collecting the T&C functions in a centralized entity for managing the T&C functions for a larger pool of eNBs. An enhanced interface and protocol is defined for allowing the new T&C pool entity to communicate with the eNBs over a shared IP based network. The redistributed functionality provides for optimizing both data compression capabilities and security by compressing data earlier in its transmission path and by encrypting data before it is sent to an eNB.

Abstract: Methods and systems for centralizing transport and control, T&C, functions for management of a plurality of enhanced nodeBs, eNBS, and their associated cells are disclosed. According to one aspect, the invention provides a method that includes providing the T&C functions associated with each of the plurality of eNBs at at least one T&C pool entity. Mobility events associated with the plurality of the eNBs are coordinated between the at least one T&C pool entity using an interface. Available resources of each of a plurality of links of a shared network connecting the plurality of eNBs and the at least one T&C pool entity are determined. Control signaling and data packets between the plurality of eNBs and the at least one T&C pool entity are transmitted using a protocol across the shared network to facilitate communication between eNBs and user equipment.
