Abstract: The antenna weight selection solution disclosed herein selects antenna weights for a multiple antenna communication system that transmits uplink or downlink data using multiple radiation patterns based on channel variability metrics determined for two or more sets of candidate antenna weights. In so doing the antenna weight selection solution disclosed herein reduces the channel variability associated with data transmissions, and therefore reduces the amount of feedback and/or the feedback rates required for the multiple antenna communication system.

Abstract: A method in a Gateway General packet radio service Support Node, GGSN, for transferring a service identifier from a packet core network to a radio network is provided. The GGSN adds a service identifier in a General packet radio service Tunneling Protocol for User Plane, GTP-U, header extension of a data packet. The service identifier comprises information about what service and/or traffic pattern that the packet concerns. The GGSN sends the data packet with the GTP-U header extension to a radio network.

Abstract: The present invention relates a User Equipment, UE (204) and a Radio Base Station (202, 206) and methods therein for contention resolution in general. Based on measured and analyzed measurements of a radio connection establishment response from each of at least a first and a second Radio Base Station, a UE receiving said radio connection establishment response can resolve the contention by selecting a RBS based on the received power of a set of DL reference signals as received by the UE, of the received power of the radio connection establishment responses, on timing of the received sets of reference signals, on timing of the radio connection establishment responses, on historic RBS selections, on priority level of the RBS, to mention a few alternatives.

Abstract: According to embodiments herein an ambiguity problem when compensating for frequency offset may be solved by compensating a received reference symbol according to two different frequency offset hypotheses; the estimated frequency offset and the a mirrored version of the same. Then by comparing the compensated reference symbol of the different frequency hypotheses with a target reference symbol, which is known at the receiver node 12, the frequency offset hypothesis which is most likely is used to compensate a received data symbol.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition for dyeing keratin fibres, and in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, comprising at least one 2-pyrrolidone functionalized in the 4 position with a carboxylic acid or amide radical, and at least one hydrophobic direct dye or a pigment; a dyeing process using this composition. Similarly, the invention relates to the use of the said pyrrolidone combined with a direct dye or a pigment for dyeing keratin fibres, and especially to the use of the said pyrrolidone for improving the colour uptake onto the fibres of direct dyes that are sparingly soluble or insoluble in aqueous-alcoholic supports. The invention also relates to novel pyrrolidone derivatives. The present invention makes it possible in particular to obtain direct dyeing on keratin fibres that is fast, resistant to washing, chromatic and powerful.

Abstract: Methods of performing link adaptation in a wireless communication system for simultaneous transmission of codewords include selecting initial modulation and coding scheme (MCS) levels for the codewords, estimating a size ratio of the codewords, determining a number of scheduling blocks (SB) for the codewords with the initial MCS levels, and determining revised MCS levels for the codewords in response to the determined number of SBs. Transport block sizes are computed for the codewords, and it is determined if there is a need to increase the number of scheduling blocks in at least one of the codewords. If there is a need to increase the number of scheduling blocks in a codeword, scheduling blocks are added to the codeword, and the transport block size for the codeword is recomputed. The codewords are then simultaneously transmitted over different multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) communication channels using the same time and frequency resources.

Abstract: A reference signal, RS, is generated in a wireless communication system based on a starting position, in the frequency domain, of the RS and a transmission channel bandwidth of the RS. At least one of the starting position of the RS and the bandwidth allocated to a transmission channel for the RS is/are ascertained. A base sequence index, BSI, is then derived by mapping at least one ascertained of the RS starting position and transmission channel bandwidth (12) according to a predefined mapping rule (14) to the BSI (16). The RS is determined based on the derived BSI.

Abstract: A method and arrangement for processing data when training a data model involving multiple iterations of data records in a dataset (400c, 606) stored in a database (400, 600). Memory space (400d, 608) is allocated in the database for maintaining the data model during the training operation. The data records in the dataset are read (4:3) directly from the database for each iteration, and the data model is trained (4:4) inside the database by repeatedly applying the read data records in the training operation and updating (4:5) the data model. It is also checked (4:6) whether the updated data model has converged according to a predefined convergence condition. The data model is eventually saved (4:7) once the data model has converged.

Abstract: Signaling through a plurality of network elements is traced during a trace session. The network elements generate trace records that record information associated with a communication session and that include a charging identifier that is used as a trace recording session reference for the trace session. The charging identifier is a unique network-wide identifier for a subscriber, UE or service and can be used by an operations support system to correlate which trace records are associated with a same subscriber, UE or service that is being traced and, thereby, may enable end-to-end tracing through a network.
