Abstract: Many types of cables require a surrounding, or jacket, around the cable. When a jacketed cable is defective, removing the jacket allows the cable and the resin that composes the jacket to be reused/recycled. A die is provided that has a narrower portion and a wider portion. An opening at the narrower portion extends internally through the die. The opening is large enough to accommodate the cable, but is not large enough to accommodate the jacket. The cutting edge of a blade is adjacent to the opening. The cable is fed through the opening at the narrower portion of the die. The jacket, being too large to be accommodated by the opening, contacts the blade and is split by the cutting edge of the blade. The jacket is spread apart by the die and peeled away from the cable.
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and seating product that include a seat deck assembly with a tensioned fabric decking are described. The seat deck assembly includes one or a pair of frame rails attached along opposite edges of the decking. The decking includes an elastomeric textile. The decking or a first of the frame rails is attached to a first side of the frame. The second of the frame rails is placed in a rigid fixture. A force is applied by an actuator to the frame to move the second side of the frame toward the second frame rail and to stretch the elastomeric fabric. The second frame rail is couple to the second side of the frame and the assembled frame is removed from the fixture. Cushions, padding or an upholstered covering can complete embodiments of the seating product.

Abstract: Control of a label switched path established in a network is transferred between a management plane and a control plane of the network. A node (e.g., node C) receives a message indicating a change in control of the label switched path, the message identifying the label switched path by a cross-connection identifier corresponding to an entry in the control data stored at the node which identifies data plane ingress and egress segments cross-connected at the node. Control data at the node is updated based on the identified label switched path. The message includes a list of cross-connection identifiers for nodes (e.g., nodes C, E, and F) along the label switched path. The cross-connection identifier can be an mplsXCIndex.

Abstract: A method for the recovery of ethylene from an off-gas is provided. This method includes providing an ethylene containing feed gas stream, introducing the ethylene containing gas stream into a first cryogenic separation device, thereby producing a first condensed stream and a first ethylene poor stream, and introducing the ethylene poor stream into a first feed compressor, thereby producing a pressurized first ethylene poor stream. This is repeated three times, resulting in a pressurized third ethylene poor stream, which is introduced into a pressure swing adsorber, thereby producing a high purity hydrogen stream and a PSA tail gas stream. The PSA tail gas stream is into a PSA tail gas compressor, thereby producing a pressurized PSA tail gas stream, which is then combined with an ethylene containing gas stream to produce the ethylene containing feed gas stream.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a blind estimation method of at least one temporal modulation parameter of an OFDM signal, in which a plurality of demodulation attempts of said OFDM signal are carried out using a plurality of respective values of this temporal parameter and, for each demodulation attempt, a cost function representative of the entropy of the demodulated signal is calculated, the estimate of said temporal parameter then being obtained as the value of this parameter minimizing said cost function.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for allocating service area identifiers (SAI) for a femto cell (200A) upon the femto cell (200A) being created. According to the method, information is received about detected cells obtained by scanning performed by a femto radio base station (210A) that is serving the femto cell (200A) in addition to information identifying the femto base station (210A) or the femto cell (200A); a request for SAIs, is transmitted to a SAI selection entity (250, 400) based on the received information, and SAIs selected by a selection entity (250) are received together with an associated user type. The identifiers are further allocated for the created femto cell (200A). The present invention also relates to an apparatus (100, 300) and to the selection entity (250, 400).

Abstract: A molecule is separated from a liquid sample containing said molecule and at least one additional molecule having a larger hydrodynamic diameter than the hydrodynamic diameter of the molecule to be separated, by means of a separation device comprising a substrate, at least one circulation channel arranged in said substrate, and at least one nanotube associated with said molecule to be separated and formed on a free surface of the substrate. Separation is achieved by means of the internal channel of a nanotube, such as a carbon nanotube, presenting an effective diameter chosen in predetermined and controlled manner. The effective diameter of the internal channel is chosen such as to be larger than the hydrodynamic diameter of the molecule to be separated and smaller than the hydrodynamic diameter of the additional molecules of larger hydrodynamic diameters.

Abstract: Teachings presented herein offer reduced and stable computational complexity for symbol block detection using multi-stage assistance, and also provide for the generation of soft bit values. A demodulator generates these soft bit values by forming from a set of candidate symbol combinations, for each group of symbols in a symbol block, a subset of candidate symbol combinations for that group. The demodulator selects from the set the most likely combination, at least one combination that has a complementary bit value for a respective bit value in the most likely combination, and as many of the next most likely combinations not already selected as are needed for the size of the subset to conform to a pre-determined size. The demodulator generates soft bit values by limiting the candidate combinations of symbols considered for a symbol block according to the subsets formed for the groups of symbols in that symbol block.
Abstract: A test structure for precise characterization of an MOS stack has two semiconductor devices DT1 and DT2 comprising MOS transistors. The dimensions (length Li, width Wi) of the transistors of the first device Ti and the dimensions (length L?i, width W?i) of the transistors T?i of the second device are selected so that the sum of the lengths of the transistors on the one hand, and the sum of the widths of the transistors on the other hand, are respectively equal in the two devices, and so that the surface area difference Sequiv between the two devices is nonzero. An associated measurement method is used to calculate the curve of the difference capacitance between the two devices as a function of the voltage by means of a capacimeter. By placing each of the devices as the load of a suitably controlled CMOS inverter, this curve can be recorded by a dynamic measurement method based on measuring the current in each inverter.
