Abstract: A method of facilitating access to services of an IP Multimedia Subsystem network by user terminals located behind an access point to said network. The access point is associated with a subscription to the IP Multimedia Subsystem network. The method comprises including within an Implicit Registration Set defined for said subscription, a wildcarded Public User Identity or Public User Identity sub-domain representative of a range of Public User Identities. At IP Multimedia Subsystem registration of said access point with the IP Multimedia Subsystem network, the Public User Identities contained in the Implicit Registration Set are distributed to a Serving Call Session Control Function allocated to said access point and to a Proxy Call Session Control Function to which said access point is attached.

Abstract: An integrated circuit chip for holding or processing data on information for secure protection. A first side of the chip has at least one first conductor element and another side of the chip has another conducting element.
Abstract: A device such as a compact or product container includes a plurality of stacked sections or housings, which are pivotable with respect to each other. The sections are substantially aligned with each other when the device is in a closed position, and when pivoted with respect to each other, the device is opened to allow access to compartments or reservoirs of the different sections. According to an example, a lower housing or section can include a projection which is received in a groove formed in the adjacent section and a depth of the groove can change from a first end of the groove to a second end of the groove to thereby change and vary the resistance felt by the user.
Abstract: A method for producing stacked and self-aligned components on a substrate, including: providing a substrate made of monocrystalline silicon having one face enabling production of components, forming a stack of layers on the face of the substrate, selective etching by a gaseous mixture comprising gaseous HCl conveyed by a carrier gas and at a temperature between 450° C. and 900° C., depositing resin, implementing lithography of the resin, replacing resin eliminated during the lithography with a material for confining remaining resin, and forming elements of the components.

Abstract: Smaller patterns of regularly-spaced pilot symbols are discerned from a larger pattern of irregularly-spaced pilot symbols transmitted in the time-frequency domain. Accordingly, the irregularly-spaced pilot symbols can be partitioned into at least two different groups of regularly-spaced pilot symbols in the time-frequency domain. Each group of regularly-spaced pilot symbols is individually processed with lower complexity and the results combined to generate an accurate time-frequency channel response estimate. According to an embodiment, a set of irregularly-spaced pilot symbols is transmitted over a time-frequency window. Channel response is estimated based on the pilot symbols by grouping the pilot symbols into subsets of regularly-spaced pilot symbols. An intermediate quantity is generated for each subset of regularly-spaced pilot symbols as a function of the pilot symbols included in the subset. The channel response is estimated over the time-frequency window as a function of the intermediate quantities.
Abstract: A method for measuring focal distance of a thermal lens located in an analyte, the method including: providing an exciting optical beam passing through the analyte and creating the thermal lens therein; emitting a coherent probe optical beam passing through the analyte and being propagated substantially perpendicular to the exciting optical beam; intercepting the probe optical beam by a detector after passing through the analyte; focusing the probe optical beam upstream or downstream of the thermal lens such that only a fraction of the probe optical beam passes through the thermal lens; acquiring an interference image by the detector; and processing the interference image to calculate the focal distance of the thermal lens. Such a method may find application in physico-chemical analysis of the analyte.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for improving wireless communication network performance and efficiency, based on detecting the occurrence of grant loss in relation to the transmission of scheduling grants to mobile terminals over a downlink control channel. Grant loss detection is based on detecting erasure events corresponding to the transmitted scheduling grants, and the incidence of grant loss with respect to a given mobile terminal can be tracked and used to compensate the control value(s) used for link adaptation of the downlink control channel, with respect to that terminal. Additionally, or alternatively, when a given grant is determined to be lost, a new grant is sent and the HARQ redundancy version is reset for the newly scheduled transmission.

Abstract: A method for use in a cellular communications system in which system traffic can be exchanged between transceivers comprises receiving traffic from a second transceiver at a first transceiver. The traffic includes data units that are each associated with an identifier. The data units are also divided into segments. The method additionally includes sending status information from the first transceiver to the second transceiver. The status information pertains to one or more data units transmitted by the second transceiver. Additionally, sending the status information includes, for non-received and partially received data units, sending information indicating the data units were non-received or partially received and, for partially received data units, sending information indicating which parts of the data units were not received.

Abstract: Techniques for controlling drilling fluid cleaning apparatus that reclaim lost circulation material from spent drilling fluid are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes a tank, a density separation device, and a fluid density control system. The tank holds spent drilling fluid containing drilling fluid, lost circulation material, coarse solids and fine solids. The density separation device is coupled to an outlet of the tank. The density separation device provides an overflow stream and an underflow stream. The overflow stream contains less dense material than the underflow stream. The fluid density control system is configured to adjust the density of the spent drilling fluid provided to the density separation device by recirculating a portion of the underflow stream into the tank.
Abstract: A system, method, and nodes for managing shared security keys between a User Equipment, UE, an authentication node such as an SCF/NAF, and a service node such as a BM-SC or AS. The SCF/NAF allocates to each BM-SC, a different SCF/NAF identifier such as a fully qualified domain name, FQDN, from the FQDN space the SCF/NAF administers. The SCF/NAF then locally associates these allocated FQDNs with the connected BM-SCs and with different services. The network sends the correct FQDN to the UE in a service description for a desired service, and the UE is able to derive a security key using the FQDN. When the UE requests the desired service, the SCF/NAF is able to associate the service identifier with the correct FQDN and an associated BM-SC. The SCF/NAF uses the FQDN to obtain the security key from a bootstrapping server and sends it to the associated BM-SC. As a result, the UE and the associated BM-SC share a specific security key.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a solution for handling mobility and attachment of users in a wireless communication network (10). User equipment (1) is connected logically to an attachment node (14) at initial attachment and this attachment is determined from an analysis of stored historical mobility patterns of the user equipment. For instance, a mobility management device may be responsible for handling the attachment and for handling the determination of suitable attachment node, e.g. a gateway (5, 7, 8).

Abstract: An entire radio transceiver can be completely integrated into one IC chip. In order to integrate the IF filters on the chip, a heterodyne architecture with a low IF is used. A single, directly modulated VCO is used for both up-conversion during transmission, and down-conversion during reception. Bond-wires are used as resonators in the oscillator tank for the VCO. A TDD scheme is used in the air interface to eliminate cross-talk or leakage. A Gaussian-shaped binary FSK modulation scheme is used to provide a number of other implementation advantages.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for multi-stream wireless communication between a transmitter node and a receiver node. The method comprises applying an open-loop multi-stream transmission technique during an initial part of a transmission burst. In another step of the method, detailed channel state information is received (54). The detailed channel state information indicates transmission pre-coding to be used during the transmission burst when applying a closed-loop multi-stream transmission technique. The method further includes switching (55) from the open-loop multi-stream transmission technique to the closed-loop multi-stream transmission technique during the transmission burst, in response to receiving the detailed channel state information. The method is applicable to both uplink and downlink transmission bursts.
