Abstract: The present teachings provide for a method and system for facilitating content download to one or more remote devices via an insecure communication channel. The method comprises the steps of receiving at least one shared secret from a device via an insecure communications channel, each shared secret encoded and functioning as an identifier for the device, transmitting an encrypted file, from a file server, to the device associated with the encoded shared secret, receiving the shared secret in a plaintext forma via a secure communications channel, receiving a confirmation authorizing the release of a decryption key, and sending a decryption key corresponding to the transmitted file, for which the authorization for the release of the decryption key has been received. The decryption key is encrypted using the shared secret if transmission is via the insecure channel.

Abstract: A voltage booster device may include a plurality of multiplication stages arranged in a sequence so that an input terminal of each multiplication stage, with the exception of a first multiplication stage, is connected to an output terminal of a previous multiplication stage. Each multiplication stage may include pumping circuitry for accumulating an electric charge proportional to a pump voltage value of the multiplication stage. Each multiplication stage may also include a phase signal generating circuit for switching the multiplication stages between a transfer phase and a maintaining phase. In at least one of the stages, the pumping circuitry may include at least two series connected charge accumulators. A terminal may be shared between the charge accumulators and may be connected through biasing circuitry to an output terminal of a previous multiplication stage for forcing the charge accumulators within a threshold potential drop value.

Abstract: A lift assembly for a suspension assembly of an axle/suspension system is located generally adjacent to and beside the suspension assembly. The lift assembly includes an air chamber, a support member assembly, a pivot arm assembly and a beam support assembly. The support member assembly attaches to the hanger of the suspension assembly, to the air chamber, and pivotally attaches to the pivot arm assembly. The air chamber also attaches to the pivot arm assembly. The pivot arm assembly pivotally attaches to the beam support assembly which in turn attaches to the beam of the suspension assembly, for raising and/or lowering the suspension assembly during operation of the heavy-duty vehicle.

The background process examines a routing table of routing nodes in the path to determine changes in the path. Information regarding multiple paths between a first node and a second node of the network can be stored so that a point of primary failure can be more accurately determined.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention recite a method and system for improving the fidelity of a dialog system. In one embodiment, a first input generated by a user of a first system operating in a first modality is accessed. In embodiments of the present invention, the first system also generates a first output corresponding to the first input. An second input from a second user, who is engaged in a conversation with the first user, is accessed by a second system. The second input is then utilized to modify the first output of the first system.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for straightening keratinous fibers including: (i) a step of applying on the keratinous fibers a hair straightening composition containing at least one alpha-hydroxy and/or keto acid derivative, the pH of said composition being not more than 9 (ii) a step of increasing the temperature of the keratinous fibers, using heating means, to a temperature ranging between 110 and 250° C.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for forwarding data in hybrid wireless mesh networks. The method includes configuring a number of mesh network nodes as Potential Relay Nodes (PRNs) in an overlay network associated with a hybrid wireless mesh network, streaming data packets from a source node to a destination node using a native data forwarding algorithm of the hybrid wireless mesh network, dynamically identifying Relay Nodes (RNs) among PRNs in the overlay network, creating secondary paths for sending data packets towards selected RNs in the overlay network, and relaying data packets from RNs to the destination node using the overlay network.

Abstract: A method and system for re-establishing a connection from a PSAP or 911 call center to a terminal of a 911 caller who has subscribed to IN services, for example, after a terminal of a 911 caller has been disconnected from the PSAP or 911 call center. If the call is dropped, the PSAP or 911 call center can, manually, or automatically via the system of the present invention, dial or cause to be dialed, a pre-determined prefix prior to dialing the number of the terminal of the 911 caller. In a separate embodiment of the method and system of the present invention, a separate parameter is used in CAMEL IDP and ISUP IAM to indicate the calling party category to identify that the call is originating from a PSAP or 911 call center.

Abstract: A technique for cell signature determination in a cellular communication network is provided. A method implementation of this technique comprises the steps of providing a set of hypothesis signals, each hypothesis signal including a signature hypothesis, receiving a composite signal including a first signal portion carrying a first signature from a first cell and a second signal portion carrying a second signature from a second cell, wherein the first signal portion and the second signal portion overlap at least partially in time, and obtaining a correlation result by correlating the composite signal with each hypothesis signal. After the first signature has been determined, a set of phantom signatures associated with the first signature is provided. The phantom signatures represent artifacts from the first signal portion in the correlation result. Finally, the second signature is determined based on the correlation result taking into account the set of phantom signatures associated with the first signature.

Abstract: A novel nickel particulate form is provided that efficiently forms a zero-valent nickel complex with a phosphorus-containing ligands in an organic liquid to form a hydrocyanation catalyst. Particles in the nickel particulate form comprise nickel crystallites. For example, the nickel particulate form can have a BET Specific Surface Area of at least about 1 m2/gm; an average crystallite size less than about 20-25 nm, the nickel particulate form can have at least 10% of the crystallites in the nickel form can have can have a diameter (C10) of less than about 10 nm, and/or there are on average at least about 1015 surface crystallites per gram nickel. A ratio of BET SSA to C50 for the nickel particulate form can be at least about 0.1×109 m/gm and preferably at least about 0.4×109 m/gm. Methods of preparation and use are also provided.

Logic on the remote scanner receives the request and the restriction, transmits the request to a mobile device, receives the transaction information while monitoring the restriction, and transmits the transaction information to the POS terminal for processing. The transaction information may be provided subject to the restriction.
