In some examples, a Doppler shift compensation apparatus may include an angle measuring unit configured to measure Angle Of Arrival (AOA) information of a User Equipment (UE); a velocity calculating unit configured to calculate a velocity information of the UE based on the measured AOA information; a frequency shift estimating unit configured to estimate Doppler shift of the UE based on the measured AOA information and the calculated velocity of the UE; a frequency shift compensation triggering unit configured to trigger Doppler frequency shift compensation based on the estimated Doppler shift of the UE; and a frequency shift compensating unit configured to perform the Doppler frequency shift compensation based on a trigger instruction from the frequency shift compensation triggering unit.

Abstract: An Internet infrastructure contains a search server that delivers search result pages of web sites to client devices based upon a search string. Maxima categories are provided that sort search results or web pages based upon popularity and/or context similarity. A web browser contained within a client device is coupled to display various search result pages of web sites delivered by the search server. A maxima determination module within the search server responds to the delivery of the initial search string by first categorizing search results applicability to the search string on the basis of maxima or by generating maxima categories with search results contained therein that correlated to the search string. These search results within each applicable maximum are then sorting on the basis of popularity within each of the maxima categories to effectuate popularity ranks for each search result or web page.

An initial meta-file is transmitted in response to a request for the content, which identifies a division of the content stream into blocks, and available sources for delivery of the blocks. The initial meta-file can identify a first multicast and a second multicast server, assigning a first and second portion of the blocks for delivery using the first and second multicast source server, respectively. The first and second portions are transmitted using the first and second multicast source servers, respectively. The first and second portions correspond to distinct non-overlapping portions of the non-live content stream. The initial meta-file can also identify a unicast source server, assigning a third portion of the blocks for delivery using the unicast source server, the third portion being transmitted by the unicast source server.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for multilayered deception for intrusion detection. According to various embodiments of the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, a multilayer deception system includes honey servers, honey files and folders, honey databases, and/or honey computers. A multilayer deception system controller generates honey activity between the honey entities and exposes a honey profile with contact information associated with a honey user. Contact directed at the honey user and/or activity at any of the honey entities can trigger alarms and/or indicate an attack, and can be analyzed to prevent future attacks.

Abstract: Internet protocol (IP) based calls from a first terminal in an IP based communications system are routed to a second terminal in another communications system. In response to a call setup request at a common communications core that is common to both the IP based communications system and the other communications system, a query is transmitted to a private telephone number mapping database that contains routing information for terminals in both the IP based communications system and the other communications system requesting routing information for the second terminal. Routing information for the call setup request is received from the private telephone number mapping database for routing the call.

The system may throttle power for one or more of the plurality of servers approaching the power allocation level, wherein throttling includes limiting performance of a processor, track server power throttling for the plurality of servers. The method compares power throttling for a first server with power throttling for remaining servers in the plurality of servers and adjusts throttling of the plurality of servers, wherein throttled servers receive excess power from unthrottled servers.

Abstract: Enhanced biometric authentication is achieved by combining a user's inherent biometric data with the user's knowledge of a secret glyph. In one embodiment, a touchpad is provided on which the user may use a finger to indicate a plurality of strokes that form a distinct glyph. Image stabilization may be used to extract a readable fingerprint from the strokes, and the glyph and finger print are matched to a stored profile. The glyph may be one or more alphanumeric characters that represent a password. The user can then enter the password on the touch pad with his finger. If the fingerprint and password both match, the user is authenticated.

Abstract: An oxygenator combines, in a single structure, a heat exchanger, a gas exchanger, an arterial filter, and a filter frame. Such an oxygenator permits fewer fluid connections and thus may simplify an extracorporeal blood circuit, including a heart-lung machine and a blood reservoir, in which it is used. In some embodiments, the oxygenator may be configured to include multiple purge ports for purging bubbles both before and after filtering the blood.

Abstract: Systems and methods enable automated, transparent and efficiently scalable alarm monitoring, display, notification, redundant alarm suppression and root-defect resolution in telecom networks, resulting in transparent visibility with intuitive navigation from a network management GUI down to the network element hardware status registers of concern. A logical alarm propagation hierarchy enables efficient root defect resolution in large networks with extensive amounts of individual defects capable of causing alarms, based on hyperlinked navigation from top-level NE alarm indicators down to bottom-level defect status registers. Un-monitored defects (e.g., non-service affecting defects) are prevented from causing unnecessary alarms, and alerts are produced to notify the network operations staff of new NE alarms. Techniques are used to minimize the frequency of such alarm notifications while providing a comprehensive and clear view of the network alarm status, even under heavy loads of defect activity.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for processing multimodal input. A system configured to practice the method continuously monitors an audio stream associated with a gesture input stream, and detects a speech event in the audio stream. Then the system identifies a temporal window associated with a time of the speech event, and analyzes data from the gesture input stream within the temporal window to identify a gesture event. The system processes the speech event and the gesture event to produce a multimodal command. The gesture in the gesture input stream can be directed to a display, but is remote from the display. The system can analyze the data from the gesture input stream by calculating an average of gesture coordinates within the temporal window.

Certain embodiments provide a dynamic seat map via which an operator can assign certain characteristics to specific seats and/or seating sections. Certain embodiments generate interactive maps for users, via which information from a plurality of sources may be integrated and visually displayed. The user may specify certain criteria, and the interactive map may identify to the user seats and/or sections that match such criteria. Certain embodiments provide an interactive seat map via which users can select seats and share information.
