Abstract: A method, computer readable medium and system for automatically tracking content in a peer-to-peer environment are disclosed. For example, the method monitors a number of times each content title of a plurality of content titles are downloaded in the peer-to-peer environment, adds one or more content titles of the plurality of content titles that are downloaded above a predetermined threshold to a list, downloads each one of the one or more content titles in the list via the peer-to-peer environment and verifies that each one of the one or more content titles that are downloaded matches at least one content title in the list.

Abstract: A constellation processing module of a receiver groups points of a constellation associated with a transmitted signal into a plurality of subsets. At least two adjacent ones of the subsets have one or more common constellation points so that the at least two adjacent subsets overlap. The constellation processing module also determines a centroid-based value for each of the subsets of constellation points. A non-final equalization stage localizes a search for a final symbol decision using a set of the centroid-based values as constellation points. An interference suppresser suppresses residual self-interference which arises from using the set of centroid-based values as constellation points to localize the search for the final symbol decision instead of the constellation points used to modulate the transmitted signal. A final equalization stage determines the final symbol decision using a subset of the constellation points used to modulate the transmitted signal.

Abstract: A method for creating a security campaign includes generating, via a first source, a first security deterrent for at least one non-security purpose; and generating, via a second source, a second security deterrent for a security purpose. The first and second deterrents are incorporated into a single security campaign.

Abstract: Electrophotographic printing apparatus and method of printing using electrophotographic printing apparatus, the apparatus comprising an image-forming member having a surface on which a latent electrostatic image can be formed and developed for transfer of the developed image to a substrate via an intermediate transfer member. The apparatus comprises a voltage supply for generating electric potential between the surface of the intermediate transfer member and the image-forming member such that the developed image formed on the surface of the image-forming member is transferred to the intermediate transfer member. A controller of the apparatus controls the voltage supply to adjust the electrical potential to affect the transfer of ink to the intermediate transfer member from the image-forming member. In this way, the apparatus can adjust for changes in the electrical properties of the intermediate transfer member.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to an application management framework for web applications that may provide speed improvements, capability improvements, user experience improvements, increased advertising profit opportunities, and simplified application development to wide range of network devices. The described embodiments may employ techniques for containing, controlling, and presenting multiple web-based applications in a shared web browser application management framework. Sharing a web browser application management framework provides the capability for rapidly switching between applications, allows for multitasking, facilitates using a common set of input controls for applications, and makes it possible for applications to be available with little perceived startup (“boot”) time. The described embodiments also provide incentives for web application users, web application developers, web application portal providers, and web advertising providers to share in transactions between one another.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for efficient resynchronization of replicated data. A hash value is generated for a chunk of data replicated from a source node to a target node. The chunk of data may be a file deduplicated and compressed at both a source node and a target node. A current sequence number is determined and a sequence number and hash tuple is maintained for the chunk of data at both the source node and the target node. Sequence numbers are modified whenever the data is modified. Current sequence numbers and sequence number and hash values in the sequence number hash tuples at the source node and the target node may be compared to determine whether data is still synchronized at a later point in time or whether data requires resynchronization.

Abstract: Personalized communications services are provided when a communication from an initiating party is received at an interactive system. A computer of the interactive system automatically determines predictive information for the communication based on environmental data provided for the communication independent of information provided by the initiating party during the communication. A script for communicating with the initiating party is dynamically updated based on the predictive information. Communications with the initiating party are provided in accordance with the dynamically updated script.

Abstract: For efficiently handling network traffic via a fixed access, classification of UL data traffic in a communication device (100) may be accomplished in a reflective mode by detecting identifiers of outgoing uplink data packets which are complementary to identifiers of incoming downlink data packets. The downlink data packets are already assigned to the traffic classes (50). The outgoing uplink data packets carrying the complementary identifier are assigned to the same traffic class (50) as the incoming downlink data packets. For this purpose, the communication device (100) is provided with a traffic classificator (110). In the reflective mode, the traffic classificator (110) locally generates uplink packet classification rules (115) by monitoring received downlink data packets.

Residual signals from each demodulation stage are modeled as finite sets of unresolved signals and a new metric is introduced for use in search of best candidate symbol estimates. The metric may be evaluated based on a probability distribution function of the residual signals or a probability mass function of the unresolved signals. The metric may also be approximated by the sum of a conventional Euclidean metric and a correction metric. The best candidate symbol estimates generated from each stage of the multi-stage SLI demodulator are summed to form cumulative symbol estimates.
