Abstract: The invention proposes a reliable high-performance cryorefrigeration device, the level of thermal oscillations of which may be minimized so as to be below a threshold value. For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a cryorefrigeration device comprising N periodically operating cryorefrigerators (100), N being an integer equal to or greater than 2, each cryorefrigerator being provided with a cold end coupled to a common cold end (300), the cryorefrigerators being linked to a control device provided with a phase-shift means capable of making the cryorefrigerators operate in phase-shifted relationship one with respect to another.

Abstract: Systems and methods for wide format ink printing are described. In one embodiment, a tension module for wide format inkjet printers is described which includes a throughput roller comprising a material having a length to diameter ratio of at least 10:1 and a friction coefficient value less than 1. The tension module further includes a plurality of pinch rollers adjacent to and supporting the throughput roller, and a motor operable to rotate the throughput roller. The plurality of pinch rollers and the rotation of the throughput roller in combination are operable to draw the print medium between the plurality of pinch rollers and the throughput roller.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention disclose a method, identifier and a computer program product for identifying influential users among a group of users associated with a communication network. The disclosed method includes selecting two or more ranking models from a plurality of ranking models such that each ranking model provides scores to the users in the group based on a usage data of the users, calculating a weighing factor for each of the selected ranking models, generating an aggregate score for each user using the weighing factor and the score provided by each one of the selected model such that based on the aggregate score, the influential users among the group of users are identified.

Abstract: A method of providing wireless communication service to a mobile phone is provided. The method comprises identifying common mobile phone applications and selectively supported mobile phone applications, installing the common mobile phone applications and the selectively supported mobile phone applications in read only memory of the mobile phone, each of the selectively supported applications associated with a selection switch initially disabled. The method further comprises, when activating the mobile phone, enabling at least one of the selection switches and writing at least one reference to branded content to a random access memory of the mobile phone based on a service plan associated with the mobile phone.

Abstract: Various apparatus and methods for reducing inter-core crosstalk in a multicore optical fiber are disclosed. A multicore optical fiber may include a plurality of cores capable of transmitting optical signals, and a cladding surrounding the cores, the cladding having a heterogeneous refractive index such that the optical signals propagate at different velocities in different ones of the cores. A multicore optical fiber may include a first length including cores having heterogeneous modal velocities and a second length, adjacent to the first length, including cores having heterogeneous modal velocities, and the cores in the first length are aligned with cores in the second length having a different modal velocity. Inter-core cross talk in a multicore optical fiber may also be reduced by transmitting optical signals through cores of a multicore optical fiber and pumping light into the cores to create unequal modal velocities in the cores.

Abstract: A device receives information regarding allocation of an enhanced dedicated channel radio network temporary identifier (E-RNTI) to user equipment in a cell forward access channel (Cell_FACH) state, and receives information regarding a state change associated with the user equipment. The device determines that the E-RNTI can be released based on the state change, and provides, to another device, a request to release the E-RNTI in response to the state change and so that the E-RNTI can be used by other user equipment.

Abstract: A method and system for vertical handoff of a mobile station from a first-protocol RAN to a second-protocol RAN. The method and system provide a make-before-break vertical handoff, by having the first-protocol RAN (i) acquire, on behalf of the mobile station, a traffic channel assignment defining one or more traffic channel parameters for air interface communication in the second-protocol RAN, and (ii) pass to the mobile station, via the first air interface protocol, the one or more traffic channel parameters so that the mobile station can then readily switch over to communication under the second-protocol RAN. Optimally, the acquisition and passing of the one or more second-protocol traffic channel parameters may occur without the mobile station having requested the handoff, without the mobile station having asked for the traffic channel assignment, and without the mobile station having yet begun communication with the second-protocol RAN.

If the first and second contents are associated, the media manager module retrieves the second content and inserts the second content in a second metadata field of the media file.

Abstract: The MPEG2 Advanced Audio Coder (AAC) standard limits the number of filters used to either one filter for a “short” block or three filters for a “long” block. In cases where the need for additional filters is present but the limit of permissible filters has been reached, the remaining frequency spectra are simply not covered by TNS. Two solutions are proposed to deploy TNS filters in order to get the entire spectrum of the signal into TNS. The first method involves a filter bridging technique and complies with the current AAC standard. The second method involves a filter clustering technique. Although the second method is both more efficient and accurate in capturing the temporal structure of the time signal, it is not AAC standard compliant. Thus, a new syntax for packing filter information derived using the second method for transmission to a receiver is also outlined.
