Abstract: A method and an apparatus for processing a call to an aggregate endpoint device over a network are disclosed. For example, the method receives a session request by an application server, wherein a route header for the session request comprises an aggregate endpoint identifier, and determines at least one Public User Identity (PUID) of the aggregate endpoint device in accordance with the aggregate endpoint identifier. The method obtains a Serving-Call Session Control Function Fully Qualified Domain Name (S-CSCF FDQN) of a Serving-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) that performs a termination processing for the aggregate endpoint device, and forwards the session request to the S-CSCF with a route header that comprises the PUID of the aggregate endpoint device.

Abstract: A technique for reducing non-local access, in dynamically generated code that resides in a code buffer of a non-uniform memory access computer system including multiple nodes, for improving overall performance of dynamic optimization systems. In one example embodiment, this is accomplished by partitioning the code buffer into multiple smaller code buffers and assigning each of the multiple smaller code buffers to one of the multiple nodes. Statically determining which methods in the generated code are executed by a thread and then to place those methods in associated one of the multiple smaller code buffers to reduce memory latencies introduced by non-local accesses.

The system further includes a media server (MS) coupled to the PSX and to at least one IP Service Control Point (IP-SCP), which is operative to process the plurality of requests for the plurality of multi-media services. The IP-SCP further selectively directs the requests to the media server, which operates to form a preliminary multi-media communication path with a calling communication device. The MS further operates to play a plurality of announcements to the calling communication device over the preliminary multi-media communication path, as well as to collect caller-entered data from the calling communication device over the preliminary multi-media communication path.
Abstract: In a coherent optical receiver of an optical communications network, a method of recovering a clock signal from a high speed optical signal received through an optical link. A set of compensation vectors are adaptively computed for compensating Inter-symbol Interference (ISI) due to at least polarization impairments of the optical signal. A channel delay is estimated based on the computed compensation vectors. The estimated channel delay is subtracted from the computed compensation vectors to generate corresponding modified compensation vectors. Finally, the modified compensation vectors are used to derive a recovered clock signal.
Abstract: A system and method for providing location information is provided. The system may include a communication device. The communication device may include a communication interface to receive a notice of an incoming communication. The communication device may also include a display to display a representation of a present location of a calling party and to display a representation of a location of the communication device.
Abstract: An time-delay-integration image sensor comprises a matrix of photosensitive pixels organized in rows and columns, a first matrix of memory cells associated with control and adding means to store accumulated brightness levels of several rows of pixels in a row of memory cells. The first memory cell matrix is provided with the control and adding means to store in its rows accumulated brightness levels of the rows of a first half of the pixel matrix. The sensor comprises a second memory cell matrix associated with the control and adding means to store accumulated brightness levels of the rows of the second half of the pixel matrix in a row of the second memory cell matrix. Means are provided for adding the levels accumulated in a row of the first memory cell matrix to the levels accumulated in a corresponding row of the second memory cell matrix.

Abstract: A method includes selecting a first set of digital subscriber lines (DSLs) supported by a digital subscriber line access multiplexor (DSLAM). The DSLs of the first set exhibit reduced performance based on historical performance data. The method includes sending a request to the DSLAM for a first performance parameter for each of the DSLs of the first set. The method includes receiving the first performance parameters. The method includes removing DSLs from the first set that have suitable performance based on the first performance parameters to create a second set of DSLs. The method includes selecting a line profile to apply to the second set of DSLs. The method also includes sending a second request to the DSLAM to apply the line profile to the DSLs of the second set and then to determine a second performance parameter for each of the DSLs of the second set.
