Abstract: A ski boot comprising a rigid foot portion having a rigid base and a rigid upper for surrounding essentially a foot of a wearer, a rigid leg element for surrounding essentially a lower portion of a leg of the wearer including a pivot, the foot portion and the leg element being connected through the pivot to constitute a forward leaning retention position for the wearer, and a release and retention mechanism for changing the rigid leg element into a substantially vertical release stop position. The said release stop position is the result of a predetermined rearward force on the wearer's leg. The release mechanism comprises an upper arm linkage engaged to a lower arm linkage through a slot.

Abstract: The sports boot has a plastic shell (1) and an inner boot (8), the shell having at least one zone (12) which is less rigid than the less of the shell. The less rigid zone is a relatively flexible zone located on the side of the shell corresponding to the outside and/or inside of the foot, so as to face the metatarsophalangeal joint of the foot.

Abstract: A ski boot consisting essentially of a comfort liner (8), a lower shell (1) and a cuff (2) articulated to the lower shell. The cuff is provided with a strap (62) in its upper part and a lower-leg band (61) made of a material which is more rigid than the material of the cuff, these being rigidly connected to one another on the side of the boot corresponding to the inside of the foot.

Abstract: Fastener for a sports shoe comprising, on the one hand, a strip (1) carrying a clasp (3) the position of which can be adjusted along the strip and, on the other hand, a tensioner (4) fitted with a strap (8) which catches on the clasp. The strip has sawtooth teeth (2) and the clasp (3) has a pawl for holding it in place between the teeth.

Abstract: A boot comprising a supple upper (1) in the form of a bootie, a brace (2) in the form of a cradle having a triangular structure (14) in the malleolar region, such that a rear bearing surface (8) and a front bearing surface (10) are formed to receive the binding elements. The brace has a partially perforated sole and perforated lateral parts. It is immovably fixed to the supple upper by a plastic material (20) injected around the brace and traversing the perforated portions mentioned above. Such a boot combines comfort and lightness with good control of the foot and a secure fixing of the boot in the ski binding.

Abstract: The auxiliary pieces are constituted by semi-rigid plates (1, 2) which are curved about a vertical axis (a) and have an upper part (11, 21) and a lower part (12, 22) offset relative to the vertical axis and to the upper part, on one side as far as one of the pieces is concerned and on the other side as far as the other auxiliary piece is concerned.Depending on whether each of these pieces is mounted on the right or left boot, the boots are reinforced on the inner side or on the outer side and have different characteristics.

The collar (2) is articulated on the shell. The shell has two tightening buckles (4, 5) and the collar (2) has a closure and tightening buckle (6) located just below its upper end. The collar (2) has a lower-leg belt (10) surrounding the shell above the point of articulation (3) of the collar (2) on the shell. The lower-leg belt (10) has a closure and tightening buckle (11). When buckle (11) is closed and tightened, the buckle's tightening direction (F) passes above the point of articulation (3) in a slightly inclined direction towards the rear of the boot. The lower-leg belt (10) may consist of a material which is stiffer than the collar (2). The lower-leg belt (10) improves how the ski boot holds the lower leg without having to increase the apparent stiffness of the collar and without reducing the possibility of forward flexing of the collar by the lower leg.

The studs are preferably covered with a foam (13), the effect of which, combined with the spaces made between the studs (12), makes it possible to provide the anatomical shape of the inner boot, its comfort and its technical features.

Putting the boot on is facilitated by this, while a good transmission of the forces from the leg on the internal side of the boot for the edge grip is ensured.

The collar (2) has at the rear a slit (11), the opening of which is adjustable by means of a rigid rider (30) inserted into notches (20, 21) provided on each side of the lips. This adjustment is intended for adapting the boot to the morphology of the calf of the skier while ensuring a firm backward lean.
