  • Patent number: 12261819
Abstract: A network device providing access to an external device by configuring the network device to control the flow of traffic from the external device to the network device. The flow control may include retrieving an IP address or port number from a bridged device and applying it to a stack stored in the memory of the network device so that the bridged device and network device share the same IP address.

  • Publication number: 20250016251
Abstract: Connectors as essential components for transmitting data in communication networks come in different types. Utilizing a common connector capable of transmitting different types of data protocols can save space and energy. A device utilizes a common connector and a detector that detects the data protocol and transmits the data over a proper data path. Thus, smaller devices can be deployed by substituting different connectors by a single common connector. Data which is transmitted from the common connector is passed through a detector logic which detects a protocol associated with the data. The detected protocol is used to determine which data path is a proper data path to transmit the data. Depending on the number of pins of the common connector and the native connector of the receiving device, several methods are used to transmit the data, which ensure the entire data is transmitted via the proper data path.

  • Patent number: 11949736
Abstract: A system and a method are provided for enabling a user to connect a serial port of a device server to a serial device, query and capture data and settings pertaining to the serial device such that the device server can communicate and exchange data with the serial device without requiring customized programming. The device server may periodically query and capture user-specified data from the serial device. A poll configuration feature may be used to specify one or more commands which the device server will periodically query from the serial device. The response to each poll may be further sliced into a multiplicity of smaller portions according to user-specified filter rules. The captured data may be presented to other users online by way of a Web Manager, and the device server may establish machine-to-machine communications by way of XML and a Command Line Interface.

  • Patent number: 9839071
Abstract: 2 Wireless devices capable of supporting multiple wireless configuration profiles are presented. A wireless device determines an environmental context, which is used to select a profile traversal method. A profile selection module configures itself to traverse available profiles according the traversals method to identify an acceptable profile. Once identified, the wireless device's communication port is configured to operate according to the profile.

  • Patent number: 9680796
Abstract: An asset management system is presented. The management system includes monitoring devices able to provide asset data across firewalls without requiring reconfiguration of the firewalls. The asset data pass through a forwarding service that instantiates a virtual tunnel comprising a communication channel between the monitoring devices and remote asset management engines. The asset management engines can also be located behind firewalls. As the management engines aggregate asset data, the engines can present one or more alerts via a management interface.

  • Publication number: 20170064604
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining when to switch wireless access points from a current wireless access point to a new wireless access point are disclosed. In various embodiments the systems and methods monitor a signal strength received from the current wireless access point, monitor a signal strength received from the new wireless access point and compare the signal strength received from the wireless access points. Switching from the current wireless access point to the new wireless access point can occur, for example, when the signal strength received from the new wireless access point is greater than the signal strength received from the current wireless access point by a first pre-determined value.
