Abstract: A device for extracting zest from a fruit includes a body, a carrier coupled to the body, and a blade coupled to the body. The carrier moves the fruit relative to the blade and holds the fruit as the blade separates a portion of the flavedo from the pith of the fruit's peel to extract zest from the fruit. The device also includes an arm that urges the blade against the fruit's peel to generate contact pressure as the carrier moves the fruit relative to the blade, and that allows the blade to move toward and away from the carrier to accommodate the contour of the fruit's peel, which is often curved. The blade includes a plurality of teeth, each configured to cut a portion of the fruit's flavedo from the fruit's pith without separating the pith from the berry.

Abstract: A knife sharpening sheath has an open end for receiving a knife, and which open end also includes provision for receiving and securing a knife sharpening cartridge. Abstract: A set of nesting dinnerware includes a bowl, a mug and a plate. The dimensions of the mug are such that the same can fit within the bowl, either in an upright or rotated position. The base of the plate is configured to fit over the upper opening of the bowl. Once the mug is inserted in the bowl, the base of the plate is positioned over the opening of the bowl, creating a nested set of dinnerware. Multiple sets of nested dinnerware can be stacked on top of each other to further save space.
Abstract: A cutting board with integrated knife sharpener includes an opening in the cutting board configured to integrate the knife sharpener. The knife sharpener has a first folded down storage position and a second upright operable position. In the first folded down position, the sharpener is substantially flush with the surface of the cutting board. In the second upright operable position, the sharpener extends upward from the board opening, thus allowing access to the blade receiving slot therein. A securing mechanism is cooperatively integrated into both the board opening and sharpener to secure the same in both the first folded storage and second upright operable positions.
