  • Patent number: 10451341
Abstract: Techniques for remotely monitoring the operation of a cargo shipping reefer container configured with a refrigeration system that has installed therewith a control computer coupled with sensors monitoring the operation of the refrigeration system include: collecting a first and second set of observation data comprising a respective first and second sequence of measurement values measured by sensors coupled to the control computer; running a simulation model that receives the first set of observation data as input and outputs simulated values; the simulation model is configured to output the simulated values as estimates of the second set of the observations; computing an indicator value as a function of residual values computed from the difference between the values of the second set of observations and the simulated values; and evaluating the indicator value against a predefined criterion and issuing an alarm signal in case the predefined criterion is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 10231524
Abstract: A locking assembly for portable containers includes at least one open shell that defines within it a compartment for accommodating objects. The shell is partially closed, in a first configuration, by at least one respective covering unit coupled to the shell and moves between two configurations for free access to the compartment. The locking assembly includes at least one lever for actuating a slider, which can be coupled to a reference outer surface of the shell or the unit. The slider moves between a first limit position, wherein it is engaged with a respective abutment coupled to the other one of the shell or the unit, arranged in the first configuration, for theft mutual locking, and second limit position, wherein the slider is distanced from the abutment to allow the transition of the covering unit between the configurations and free access to the compartment.

  • Patent number: 10219595
Abstract: A transportable container includes at least one end plate and four side walls and which defines, in at least one configuration for use, at least one internal compartment for the placement of utensils, tools and objects in general. The container includes an interlocking coupling unit for the plate and at least one of the side walls; the unit includes at least one first profiled element, which is associated with one side of the plate and defines at least one first groove for guiding and partial accommodation of one of the side walls. The unit also includes at least one second profiled element, which is substantially perpendicular to the plate and defines at least one rail for guiding and partial coupling of the side wall.

  • Publication number: 20190037989
Abstract: A carryall container, includes at least one first half-shell, which is open and can be closed, at a free edge thereof, by a second half-shell, in order to define at least one closed configuration, in which inside the half-shells at least one internal compartment is defined for accommodating objects. The second half-shell is movable between the closed configuration and at least one open configuration, for free access to the compartment. One face of the first half-shell, which is adjacent to the free edge, has at least one door arranged, in at least one first position, so as to close a respective inlet provided on the first half-shell for further access to the compartment.

  • Patent number: 10182628
Abstract: A container, of the type of trunks, suitcases, trolley cases, and the like, which includes at least one first half-shell, which can be closed at a free edge thereof by a second half-shell, when the second half-shell is arranged in a first configuration, in order to define an internal compartment that is designed to accommodate objects. The second half-shell can move from the first configuration to at least one second configuration, of free access to the compartment, and vice versa. The first half-shell has a door arranged, in a first arrangement of use, to close an opening that is provided along at least one first side wall of the first half-shell and is such as to define an additional, independent, access to the compartment. The door moves between the first arrangement and at least one second arrangement, in which the door is at least partially distanced from the opening, in order to allow free access to the compartment, even when the second half-shell is arranged in the first configuration.

  • Patent number: 9933199
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, device and computer program for terminating a defrosting cycle within a refrigerated transport container. The container may include: a transport volume, a cooling unit comprising an evaporator arranged in a cooling space, a return air grid arranged to separate said cooling space from said transport volume, means for sensing temperature indicative of the return air temperature of air returning to said cooling space from said transport volume or the temperature of the return air grid, means for actively heating said evaporator during defrosting cycles, and a processor configured for controlling the duration of said defrosting cycles. The method includes: establishing an indicator(s) indicative of frost and/or ice build-up on said return air grid, and terminating a defrosting cycle when an indicator(s) of frost and/or ice build-up on said return air grid indicates that said return air grid is free of frost and/or ice.
