Abstract: A garbage collection control method for a solid state drive includes the following steps. Firstly, when a garbage collection is started by the solid state drive, a type of a write command from a host is judged. If the write command is not a sequential write command, a first type garbage collection is performed for obtaining a released space smaller than one free block space from a flash memory, and the write command is executed to store a write data into the flash memory. If the write command is the sequential write command, a second type garbage collection is performed for obtaining a released space larger than one free block space from the flash memory, and the write command is executed to store the write data into the flash memory.

Abstract: A block grouping method for a solid state drive includes the following steps. Firstly, plural blocks are classified into a high valid data count group and a low valid data count group according to valid data counts of respective blocks. An average erase count is set according to a specified number of blocks of the low valid data count group. A first block is selected from the high valid data count. A difference between the average erase count and a first erase count of the first block is calculated. If the difference exceeds a threshold value, a wear leveling operation is performed on the first block.

Abstract: A method for estimating a distribution curve of a first storing state of a solid state storage device includes the following steps. Firstly, plural threshold voltage intervals are provided. Numbers of cells within respective threshold voltage intervals are calculated. A location parameter interval is determined according to the numbers of cells within the threshold voltage intervals. The percentages of the cells within respective threshold voltage intervals are determined, and thus a distribution curve table is established. Then, m candidate location parameters within the location parameter interval are determined, and n candidate scale parameters are set. According to the m candidate location parameters and the n candidate scale parameters, m×n candidate Gaussian distribution curves are determined. A first Gaussian distribution curve selected from the m×n candidate Gaussian distribution curves is defined as the distribution curve.

Abstract: A group classification method includes the following steps. Firstly, a voltage shift parameter table is established. The voltage shift parameter table includes a first positional parameter table corresponding to a first neighboring cell. Then, MN ICI patterns are determined according to N neighboring cells having a significant ICI effect. If the central cell has a first storing state, MN central cell threshold voltage shifts corresponding to the MN ICI patterns are determined according to the voltage shift parameter table, and the first storing state is divided into plural sub-regions. Afterwards, the central cells corresponding to a first number of ICI patterns are classified into a first group of the first storing state. Abstract: A method for manipulating a laser projection device is provided. A laser projection device comprising a laser source, a driving module and a scanning mirror module is provided. The laser source provides a laser beam. The scanning mirror module disposed at one side of the laser source reflects the laser beam, so that the laser beam performs a scanning motion to form a projection track on a projection region. According to a projection distance, the driving module provides a first drive signal to modulate the number of scanning times of the scanning mirror module and provides a second drive signal to control the on/off time of the laser source to adjust an initial image resolution to a corresponding image resolution lower than the initial image resolution to maintain the frame quality of laser projection. The projection distance is a distance between the laser source and the projection region.

Abstract: A method of detecting a scanning angle range of a laser beam of a laser projector is provided. First, a photo sensor is disposed between first and second positions on a projection mirror. Then, a laser beam emitted from the laser projector scans back and forth between the first and second positions, so that the photo sensor receives the laser beam sequentially at first and second scanning time points to generate first and second sensing signals, respectively. If an actual time interval between the first and second sensing signals conforms to an expected time interval, an actual scanning angle range of the laser beam is determined as normal. If the actual time interval does not conform to the expected time interval, the actual scanning angle range of the laser beam is determined as abnormal and the laser projector stops emitting the laser beam. A laser projector is also provided.
