  • Patent number: 10981727
Abstract: This invention provides an idler for use in conveyor systems and associated shaft and support structure that reduces the potential for infiltration of contaminants into the bearing assemblies at the opposing ends of the shaft. By use of stampings, co-molded polymer with sealed metal end caps, press-fit end shafts and stamped-metal support structures a more contamination-resistant and efficiently constructed idler assembly is provided. A hollow shaft center section can be used. The polymer defines at least three sealing structures. The shaft defines a multi-piece unit, with the end shafts press-fit onto the center shaft section and held in place by the bearing subassemblies—affixed to the idler sleeve. The support framework includes three stamped and/or cut, and folded sheet metal pieces—a center section with a pair of opposing central risers that engage end shafts, and two opposing, separately attached, end risers, that engage outermost idler end shafts.

  • Patent number: 10986688
Abstract: Various embodiments provide dynamic reconfiguration of a connectivity configuration associated with a wireless networking device. The wireless networking device maintains multiple wireless connections with multiple user devices using a combination of beam-formed wireless signals and omnidirectional wireless signals. The wireless network device generates a list of connected or associated user devices that are capable of beam-formed wireless communications, and obtains metrics for each respective user device. The wireless networking device prioritizes the list based upon the respective metrics, and determines whether a current connectivity configuration differs from the prioritization. Responsive to determining a difference, the wireless networking device can dynamically reconfigure the connectivity configuration by modifying a connection type associated with at least one user device.

  • Patent number: 10982975
Abstract: A duty cycle is used in conjunction with a powered oscillator to electronically reduce the current draw by reducing the average current and thus reducing the sensor radiated emissions without altering an inductive position sensor. The duty cycle and the switching of the oscillation drive enable an on and an off cycling of the inductive position sensor such that an oversampling may occur without altering the hardware, but providing the improvements. As such, the inductive position sensor may only have an oscillation signal long enough to capture a stable sample and remain off for the duration of the sampling period. As such, a reduction in radiated emissions is achieved.
