Abstract: A system comprises at least one processor having a browser. The processor is configured for: receiving a request to purchase a first item (where a browser performs the receiving), displaying by the browser an indication that the first item has been added to a shopping cart of the user, before receiving an acknowledgement that the request has been received by a server, transmitting the request from the browser to the server, and receiving the acknowledgement of the transmitted request from the server after displaying the indication by the browser.

Abstract: Disclosed herein includes a system, a method, and a device including shift circuitry and add circuitry for performing multiplication of a first value and a second value for a neural network. The first value has a predetermined format including a first bit, and two or more second bits to represent a value of zero or 2n where n is an integer greater than or equal to 0. The device shifts, when the two or more second bits represent the value of 2n, the second value by (n+1) bits via the shift circuitry to provide a first result, selectively outputs zero or the second value, based on a value of the first bit of the first value, to provide a second result, and adds the first result and the second results via the add circuitry to provide a result of the multiplication of the first and second values.

Abstract: In accordance with certain embodiments, an improved switching mechanism and related components are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, an apparatus can include a switching mechanism rated to switch at least 27 kilovolts; a housing to house the switching mechanism; an isolation point of the switching mechanism visible from outside the housing to visibly exhibit a physical open-circuit by the switching mechanism; wherein the isolation point is electrically insulated without using SF6 gas during operation. Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. A base station may send, to a wireless device, one or more radio resource control messages comprising power control parameters and/or other wireless resources. The base station may send, to the wireless device, activation or deactivation of channel state information reporting. The wireless device may adjust, based on one or more of the activation or deactivation, at least one value associated with a transmission power of an uplink channel transmission.

Abstract: A booklet may include multiple customized booklet pages. The booklet pages may include including a barcode page that may include multiple barcode labels that can be selectably disposed on physical media items. The booklet pages may include pages with instructions, upgrade labels, shipping labels, or other information. The booklet pages may be customized to a customer digitization order. A system with a barcode scanner, physical media item converter, and a computing device may scan the barcode labels of the physical media items, read the content stored on the physical media items, convert the content to a digital format, and associate the digitally formatted content with the corresponding barcode label. The system may allow a customer to access the content in the digital format, such as a DVD, digital download, or a thumb drive.

Abstract: An apparatus for communicating the status of a consumable includes a sleeve with a tubular housing. The tubular housing has a lumen with a proximal section and a distal section separated by an internal flange. The sleeve includes a battery case or power module with a coaster coupled on the proximal side of the internal flange, an electronic module and a power supply module coupled to the distal side of the internal flange. A sensor in the form of a spring-loaded switch is located on the coaster to trigger and enable a status indicator based on a predetermined weight of a beverage container. The status indicator is an LED light source or wireless signal coupled to the sensor through the electronic module.

Abstract: In various embodiments, method, systems, and vehicles are provided that include: obtaining, via one or more sensors, sensor data pertaining including one or more images of one or more detected objects in proximity to a vehicle; processing the one or more images via a neural network model of a perception system of the vehicle, generating perception results for the one or more images; analyzing, via a processor, a plurality of potential faults in the perception system, based on the perception results, using a respective different technique for each of the plurality of potential faults, for the neural network model; determining a fault of the plurality of potential faults, via the processor, based on the analyzing; and taking a vehicle control action with respect to the vehicle, based on the fault, via instructions provided by the processor.

Abstract: A splitboard fastening system is disclosed herein. The splitboard fastening system comprises a crossbar comprising a shear bushing interface and a hook, an eccentric post coupled to a lever and configured to engage an inside edge of the hook in response to rotation of the lever, and a shear bushing configured to engage the shear bushing interface, wherein the crossbar is configured to be coupled to a first splitboard ski, and wherein the eccentric post and the shear bushing are configured to be independently coupled to a second splitboard ski.

Abstract: Integrated acoustic emission transducer apparatus and methods are described. An example integrated external preamplifier device includes a data extractor, a process variable determiner, a status indication determiner, and a presentation device. The integrated external preamplifier device receives an acoustic emission signal generated via an acoustic emission sensor operatively coupled to the integrated external preamplifier device. The data extractor extracts signal data from the acoustic emission signal. The process variable determiner determines process variable data based on the extracted signal data. The process variable data includes at least one of flow rate data, flow capacity data, flow area data, flow velocity data, mass accumulation data, or volume accumulation data. The status indication determiner determines status indication data based on the process variable data.

Abstract: A pre-fetching technique determines what data, if any, to pre-fetch on a per-logical storage unit basis. For a given logical storage unit, what, if any, data to prefetch is based at least in part on a collective sequential proximity of the most recently requested pages of the logical storage unit. Determining what, if any, data to pre-fetch for a logical storage unit may include determining a value for a proximity metric indicative of the collective sequential proximity of the most recently requested pages, comparing the value to a predetermined proximity threshold value, and determining whether to pre-fetch one or more pages of the logical storage unit based on the result of the comparison. A data structure may be maintained that includes most recently requested pages for one or more logical storage units. This data structure may be a table.

Abstract: A computing device outputs a keyboard for display, receives an indication of a first gesture to select a first sequence of one or more keys, determines a set of candidate strings based in part on the first sequence of keys, and outputs for display at least one of the set of candidate strings. The computing device receives an indication of a second gesture to select a second sequence of one or more keys, and determines that characters associated with the second sequence of keys are included in a first candidate word based at least in part on the set of candidate strings, or are included in a second candidate word not based on the first sequence of keys. The computing device modifies the set of candidate strings based at least in part on the determination and outputs for display at least one of the modified candidate strings.

Abstract: This invention (FIG. 1) was conceived out of necessity to control hazardous conditions created while mixing materials like concrete or mortar in containers (1) such as a three gallon or five gallon bucket. The invention (2) is a vacuum attachment which produces a low pressure zone within the bucket when a vacuum is applied to the outlet port (3) of the invention that will keep dust and other airborne material from leaving the interior of the invention through the top of the opening (4). It consists of a funnel shaped opening (4) on the top and a channel around the underside of the funnel leading to the vacuum attachment opening (3), which creates high and low pressure zones, which controls the release of particulate into the atmosphere.

Abstract: A screen assembly for a work vehicle cab includes a screen configured to cover at least a portion of an opening in the work vehicle cab. The screen assembly also includes a frame having at least one window channel and a screen channel. The at least one window channel is configured to support at least one window, the screen channel is configured to receive the screen, and the frame extends about a portion of a periphery of the opening.

Abstract: A two-wheeled vehicle includes a frame assembly having a front end and a rear end extending along a longitudinally-extending centerline, a front ground-engaging member operably coupled to the front end of the frame assembly at a front rotational axis, and a rear ground-engaging member operably coupled to the rear end of the frame assembly at a rear rotational axis. A wheel base is defined between the front and rear rotational axes and a vertically-extending centerline of the vehicle extends vertically at the midpoint of the wheel base and is perpendicular to the longitudinally-extending centerline. The vehicle also includes a fuel tank, an airbox assembly, and a battery all positioned relative to the vertically-extending centerline of the vehicle.

Abstract: A container configured to hold one or more items for transportation. The container can comprise: a base; two opposing end walls; two opposing sidewalls; and a lid. The opposing side walls each can comprise a side flap with an opening. The lid can comprise two opposing top panels and two handle flaps. Each of the two opposing top panels can be foldably coupled to a different one of the two opposing end walls. Each of the two handle flaps can be foldably coupled to a different one of the two opposing top panels. When the container is in a closed configuration, a handle can be formed by the two handle flaps and comprise two engagement end tabs located at two opposing ends of the handle. The handle can be removably coupled to the side flaps by the engagement end tabs engaging with the openings of the side flaps. The handle can be configured to be rotatable while the engagement end tabs remain engaged with the openings of the side flaps. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods generate steam mixed with desired non-condensable gas concentrations using a direct steam generator. Injecting the steam into a reservoir may facilitate recovering hydrocarbons from the reservoir. Cooling an output of the direct steam generator produces water condensate, which is then separated from the non-condensable gas, such as carbon dioxide. Reducing pressure of the condensate subsequently heated by cross-exchange with effluent of the direct steam generator regenerates the steam with the carbon dioxide removed for the injection.

Abstract: An intelligence platform determines that a package was delivered to a location, and receives real-time information associated with the package or location. The real-time information includes sensor data received from one or more sensor devices disposed proximate to the package, or third party data received from one or more third party devices associated with a geographic region that includes the location to which the package was delivered. The intelligence platform determines, using a machine learning model, a score for the package based on the real-time information, where the score predicts a measure of vulnerability of the package, and determines whether to retrieve or protect the package based on the score. The intelligence platform selects an unmanned vehicle (UV) to retrieve or protect the package based on vehicular data, and transmits instructions to the UV to cause the UV to navigate to the package and retrieve or protect the package.

Abstract: A method for generating an individualized audio output response for a headset based on images of a user's ear. An image of a portion of a user's head including at least the user's ear is received, the user in the image wearing a headset including a plurality of visual markers. One or more features describing the user's ear are identified based at least in part on a position of one of the plurality of visual markers relative to the user's ear that are used to disambiguate orientation and/or scale of the features in the image. The one or more features are input to a model, and the model is configured to determine an audio output response of the user based on the extracted one or more features. An individualized audio output response is generated for the user based on the audio output response, the individualized audio output response configured to adjust one or more acoustic parameters of audio content provided to the user by the headset.

Abstract: A powertrain for a vehicle includes a housing, a motor generator unit, a torque converter, a first and second shafts, a first and second gear sets, and a torque transmitting mechanism. The motor generator unit includes an output member. The torque converter includes a pump and a turbine. The pump is connected for common rotation with the output member of the motor generator unit. The first shaft rotatably is supported by the powertrain housing and is connected for common rotation with the turbine of the torque converter. The second shaft is rotatably supported by the powertrain housing and disposed parallel to the first shaft. An output gear is connected for common rotation to the second shaft.

Abstract: An apparatus creating a flickering flame effect. The apparatus includes a housing with an interior space with first and second stages. A drive mechanism generates a time varying electromagnetic field extending into the first stage. A first pendulum member is pivotally mounted in the interior space of the first stage and includes first and second magnets on first and second ends, with the first end proximate to the drive mechanism such that the first magnet interacts with the varying electromagnetic field to cause movement of the pendulum member. The apparatus includes a second pendulum member pivotally mounted in the second stage with a magnet on a first end proximate to the second end of the first pendulum member. A flame silhouette element extends from the second pendulum member, and a light source transmits light onto the flame silhouette, which is moving due to the magnetic coupling of the pendulum members.
