Abstract: A multipoint lock is described. The multipoint lock includes a main latch. The main latch has a latched position where the main latch is configured to extend a first distance from an unhinged edge of a door panel. The main latch is configured to be retractable toward the unhinged edge of the door panel by rotation of a latch drive hub in each of a clockwise direction and a counterclockwise direction relative to a first side of the door panel. The multipoint lock also includes at least one auxiliary latch and a deadbolt drive hub. Rotation of the deadbolt drive hub substantially simultaneously actuates the main latch and the at least one auxiliary latch.

Abstract: In various embodiments, an organization may be required to comply with one or more legal or industry requirements related to the storage of personal data (e.g., which may, for example, include personally identifiable information) even when responding to and fulfilling Data Subject Access Requests. In particular, when responding to a DSAR, the system may compile one or more pieces of personal data for provision to a data subject. The system may store this compilation of personal data at least temporarily in order to provide access to the data to the data subject. As such, the system may be configured to implement one or more data retention rules in order to ensure compliance with any legal or industry requirements related to the temporary storage of the collected data while still fulfilling any requirements related to providing the data to data subjects that request it, deleting the data upon request, etc.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method to purify produced water from a wellbore using heat energy recovery. The apparatus comprises a wellbore with a wellhead attached to the wellbore; at least one energy recapture device connected to the wellhead of the wellbore with produced water, wherein the at least one energy recapture device captures heat energy of the production fluids including produced water, and at least one distillation device connected to a heat recovery device wherein the at least one distillation device uses at least a portion of the energy from the heat energy recovery device to heat a volume of the produced water in the distillation device to remove contaminants from the produced water to create purified water. The method comprises steps to use the apparatus and the system comprises a control panel that operates at least one energy recapture device.

Abstract: A multilayer foam film with an enhanced perceived surface whiteness comprising for light-blocking, signage, and general packaging application is disclosed. In an embodiment, the film has a bulk density of less than 0.962 gr/cm3 wherein more than 50% of the cells in the foam layer are closed cells. In an embodiment, the multilayer foam film has a thickness greater than 1 mil and one of the solid skin layers contains white pigment. In another embodiment the white skin layer has a skin whiteness value of greater than 80 according to ASTM E313-73, and a skin layer tint value of less than 1 according to ASTM E313-73, and The lightness value (L*) of the white skin layer of greater than 90 in CIE L*a*b* dimension according to ASTM E308. In an embodiment, the film has a very smooth surface with a smoothness value of less than 25 in Sheffield smoothness unit configuration according to TAPPI T 538.

Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of a system that permits various entities (e.g., hiring, staffing, and client computer systems and/or devices) involved in the placement of a candidate to a job to interact systematically to carry out functions that conventional systems are unable to perform. These functions may, for example, include synchronizing systems of different entities involved in placing a worker, effectively tracking a temporary workers during a placement and/or hiring process, and post placement activities. To this end, systems and method are provided that permit a handshake process between disparate systems to complete a candidate placement process, timesheet approval and processing, consolidated invoicing, customized analytics and reporting, supplier onboarding of temporary workers, and post-hiring tracking, among other novel tools, interfaces and functionality.

Abstract: A method includes receiving text input data for conversion into synthesized speech and determining, using a hotword-aware model trained to detect a presence of a hotword assigned to a user device, whether a pronunciation of the text input data includes the hotword. The hotword is configured to initiate a wake-up process on the user device for processing the hotword and/or one or more other terms following the hotword in the audio input data. When the pronunciation of the text input data includes the hotword, the method also includes generating an audio output signal from the text input data and providing the audio output signal to an audio output device to output the audio output signal. The audio output signal when captured by an audio capture device of the user device, configured to prevent initiation of the wake-up process on the user device.

Abstract: The subject matter described in this specification is directed to a system and techniques for operating an autonomous vehicle (AV) at a multi-way stop intersection. After detecting the AV is at a primary stopline of the multi-way stop intersection, a planned travel path though the multi-way stop intersection is obtained. If the planned travel path of the AV through the multi-way stop intersection satisfies a set of one or more clearance criteria, the AV proceeds past the primary stopline. The clearance criteria include a criterion that is satisfied in response to detecting the AV is clear to safely merge into a travel lane corresponding to the planned travel path.

Abstract: A seat system for a passenger aircraft. The seat system includes at least one passenger seat and a stowable tray installed onto or adjacent to the passenger seat. The stowable tray includes a tray plate adapted to support one or more items; a support arm attached to the tray plate adapted to move the tray plate between a stowable position and a presentation position; and a friction hinge attaching the tray plate to the support arm and adapted to adjust the tray plate between the presentation position and a tray position, wherein the tray plate is adapted to support a personal electronic device while in the presentation position and adapted to support one or more cocktail items while in the tray position. A second stowable tray may also be attached to the passenger seat.

Abstract: A trash barrel receptacle or storage bin container includes a detached lid having a predetermined depth, which is held down with an elastic lid retainer. The garbage can or storage bin and lids use no physical locks or canvas straps, but include the elastic lid retainer, which avoids the need for a pivotable handle located near the top of the garbage can or storage bin, to lock the lid over the garbage can or storage bin. The lid has a central portion with a concave groove or channel to retain the bungee cord within, to prevent the lid from sliding off laterally off of the refuse barrel or storage bin.

Abstract: Light scattering polymeric compositions have improved scattering efficiency and improved mechanical properties. The compositions include a polymeric matrix material and at least two different kinds of scattering particles uniformly dispersed therein.

Abstract: A system and process for refining crude oil to produce higher-purity, cleaner-burning designer fuels with reduced emissions. The crude oil may be treated with viscosity-reductant additives, which reduces viscosity by up to 50% and increases API gravity by more than 2 points. The method of spray-cracking and vacuum-flashing of crude oil separates light end chains and heavy end chains inside the reactor. The vapor is condensed into designer fuels like bunker, diesel, jet/kerosene fuel, naphtha and gasoline fuel using multi-stage horizontal reverse condensate-condenser. The GVF centrifuges are configured to separate targeted fuels of desired density value as per their ideal fuel densities, which carry out centrifugal polishing to generate targeted fuel products of desired density and hydrocarbon molecules of desired purity values. These designer fuels are further treated with desulfurization additive.

Abstract: A usage rule specifies a number of tokens to access a vehicle. Authorization of a request to access the vehicle is based on receiving the number of tokens specified by the usage rule. The request is stored to an electronic ledger. Actuation of the vehicle is based on the request being authorized. An allocation rule specifies the number of tokens allocated to each of an entity and the vehicle based on the request. Allocation of tokens to the entity and the vehicle is based on the allocation rule.

Abstract: One embodiment of a mechanism for attaching a syringe and separated plunger to a bottle and of the type having an attachment member (110) from which restraints (114) extend. In being fastened to the bottle, the restraints enable convenient drying and storage of the syringe and the separated plunger. Other embodiments are described and shown.

Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to assign each of a plurality of targets to a classification based on respective motions of the targets at an initiation of a turn by a host vehicle, determine a distance threshold for each target associated with the classification, and perform a threat assessment on each of the plurality of targets having a respective distance from the host vehicle that is below a distance threshold and a respective time to collision below a time threshold.

Abstract: A method of decoding an encoded video bitstream using at least one processor includes obtaining a coded video sequence including a plurality of output layer sets from the encoded video bitstream; obtaining a first flag indicating whether each output layer set of the plurality of output layer sets includes more than one layer; based on the first flag indicating that the each output layer set includes more than the one layer, obtaining a first syntax element indicating an output layer set mode; selecting at least one layer from among layers included in the plurality of output layer sets as at least one output layer based on at least one of the first flag and the first syntax element; and outputting the at least one output layer.

Abstract: A bathtub component includes a structural plastic part and a plurality of separate flexible seal parts integrated together. Each of two tub side walls of a structural plastic part can have an aperture retention tab extending exteriorly therefrom. Openings in the structural plastic part on lateral sides of the aperture retention tabs are each sealed with a separate flexible seal part. Another separate flexible seal part can form an umbrella seal. A U-base clip component includes a rib retention protrusion and can extend interiorly from clip side walls into a rib receiving cavity the U-base clip component. The U-base clip component is received in an interior clip receiving cavity of the bathtub component. Clip retention protrusions can extend from the structural plastic part into a clip receiving cavity to engage apertures in the clip side walls to releasably couple the bathtub and U-base clip components together.

Abstract: Techniques to transmit encoded data along a physical medium, e.g. tape, and decode the transmitted data along the physical medium are provided. Some techniques include logic to encode data transmitted along a physical medium, such as a tape suitable for any purpose including the encoding of multimedia data, where the encoding is pursuant to a conversion between a first and second colorspace. The logic may further be configured to decode the data once it is received at a node along the tape, where the colorspace conversion provides the basis, key, or cipher for preforming the decoding operation. The logic may be further configured to alter the encryption and decryption basis, key, or cypher by altering the colorspace scheme defining the encoding (and by extension the decoding) during transmission, including a transmission that takes place after a previous transmission governed by the previously defined (and subsequently altered) colorspace conversion scheme. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide for collaborative access to a distributed data structure. Operations such as inserting, deleting, and annotating are performed by various clients participating in the collaboration. A serialization service enforcing a single order of these operations and ensures the operations and order are communicated to all of the clients participating in the collaboration. Once all clients have acknowledged particular operations, this information is also communicated to all of the clients, such that the clients may perform maintenance activities on the collaboration data structures. The result is a rolling collaboration window shared by all of the clients of the collaboration, with a bottom of the collaboration window defined by a lowest ordered operation not yet acknowledged by all clients of the collaboration, and a highest ordered operation as assigned by the serialization service.

In one example, a computing device may: receive a web page that includes application instructions for modifying objects included in the web page; execute the application instructions; record, in an ordered list of changes, change data for each application object that is modified, created, or destroyed during execution of the application instructions; record, in the ordered list of changes, change data for each web page object that is modified, created, or destroyed during execution of the application instructions; identify, in the ordered list of changes, a transition point between recorded changes; receive a request to change a state of the web page to the transition point; and apply, in reverse order, an inverse of each change specified in the ordered list of changes from a current point in time until the transition point.
