Patent number: 10942654Abstract: An apparatus in one embodiment comprises at least one processing device comprising a processor coupled to a memory. The processing device is configured to detect an error relating to storage of a given data page in a first storage system, and to send a message to at least one additional storage system, the message containing a hash digest of the given data page. The processing device is further configured to receive from the additional storage system responsive to the message a recovery data page identified by the additional storage system as having the same hash digest as the given data page. The recovery data page received from the additional storage system is verified by computing a hash digest of the recovery data page and comparing the computed hash digest to the hash digest of the given data page. Separate instances of the message containing the hash digest of the given data page may be sent to each of a plurality of additional storage systems.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2018Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: David Meiri, Zvi Schneider, Anton Kucherov

Patent number: 10944803Abstract: A resident of a controlled-environment facility is provided with messaging-initiated interactive sessions. A non-resident records a message for a resident. At a later time, the resident requests use of a resident device. Use of the resident device is authorized and the resident is notified of the message from the non-resident. The message is presented to the resident for review via the resident device. If requested by the resident, approval for an interactive session between the resident and the non-resident is determined. The immediate availability of the non-resident for the requested interactive session is determined. Patent number: 10940219Abstract: Microspheres made of solid glass are used in radiation therapy, wherein the radiotherapeutic radionuclide must be generated in the glass by neutron activation. Microspheres of this type have a high radioactive load, are relatively heavy and contain additional non-therapeutic radionuclides. Additionally, radioactive microspheres made of plastic are used, which can be loaded with radionuclides by chemical means. These microspheres have a lower loading capacity, no additional radionuclides, and are lighter. The therapeutic radionuclide in both cases is Y-90. Microspheres made of nanoporous glass contain the therapeutic radionuclide, have a high loading capacity, require no neutron activation, can be parallel charged with multiple therapeutic and with diagnostic radionuclides, and are very light. It is possible to produce them in a radiochemical laboratory. Microspheres of this type can also be used diagnostically in preparation for therapy.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2019Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: SphereRx, LLCInventor: Eberhard Fritz

Patent number: 10939991Abstract: Metal foils, wires, and seamless tubes with increased mechanical strength are provided. As opposed to wrought materials that are made of a single metal or alloy, these materials are made of two or more layers forming a laminate structure. Laminate structures are known to increase mechanical strength of sheet materials such as wood and paper products and are used in the area of thin films to increase film hardness, as well as toughness. Laminate metal foils have not been used or developed because the standard metal forming technologies, such as rolling and extrusion, for example, do not lend themselves to the production of laminate structures. Vacuum deposition technologies can be developed to yield laminate metal structures with improved mechanical properties. In addition, laminate structures can be designed to provide special qualities by including layers that have special properties such as superelasticity, shape memory, radio-opacity, corrosion resistance etc.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2019Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: Vactronix Scientific, LLCInventor: Denes Marton

Patent number: 10944692Abstract: A device may receive data for a plurality of metrics from a set of server resources associated with hosting an application. The plurality of metrics may be related to a performance of the set of server resources. The data may be time series data. The device may normalize the data for the plurality of metrics across a set of points in time to form normalized data. The device may determine a score for the performance of the set of server resources associated with hosting the application at a particular point in time based on the normalized data. The score may be used to determine whether an anomaly is present in the performance of the set of server resources at the particular point in time. The device may perform an action to facilitate improvement of the performance of the set of server resources based on the score satisfying a threshold.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2019Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Kumar Anand, Aaron Hoenig, Amit Pandey

Patent number: 10943952Abstract: The switching device includes three terminals including an inner surface, an oxide layer on the inner surface of the third terminal, and a chalcogenide pillar extending through the oxide layer and the third terminal, the pillar being in electrical communication with the first terminal and the second terminal, wherein the voltage difference between the first terminal and the second terminal changes the channel from a first state to a second state when a threshold voltage between the first terminal and the second terminal is exceeded, the threshold voltage being dependent on temperature. The third terminal is resistive and receives a control signal to apply heat to the pillar and modulate the threshold voltage. The switching device can be used to select the memory stack through the bitline and provide a nearly limitless current based on the threshold switching conduction providing avalanche current conduction through the switching device.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2019Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: SanDisk Technologies LLCInventors: Federico Nardi, Ming-Che Wu, Tim Minvielle, Zhaoqiang Bai

System for automatic classification and protection unified to both cloud and on-premise environments
Patent number: 10943022Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are described herein for the classification, tagging, and protection of data objects. Such techniques may be imposed on the data objects automatically regardless of whether the data objects are created/generated/interacted/downloaded/uploaded/accessed on the cloud-based environments and/or on-premises environments. The foregoing techniques are orchestrated from a centralized policy that is treated uniformly regardless of the data objects' environment. Once a data object is identified, it is classified based on multiple criteria and a tag is associated therewith. An enforcement action may be applied to the data objects based on a defined policy. The tag attached to the data object may be used to search for related audit logs that track accesses to the data object. By associating the tag and protection persistently, data object(s) are treated uniformly (i.e., in the same manner) regardless of what environment it is in.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2018Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Ami Menachem Luttwak, Yuval Eldar -
