Abstract: A steering system includes an arm, a knuckle, a joint, and a steering sensor. The arm defines a first passage. The knuckle has a knuckle arm defining a second passage. The joint has a ball portion and a shaft portion extending. The ball portion is disposed within the first passage and the shaft portion is disposed within the second passage. The ball portion defines a conical recess that has an opening at an upper end of the ball portion and terminates inside the ball portion with a pocket. The steering sensor has a driveshaft extending along a longitudinal axis into the conical recess. The driveshaft includes a head that engages with the pocket. The ball portion is configured to pivot within the first passage relative to the longitudinal axis and the head. The joint and the driveshaft are configured to rotate together about the longitudinal axis as the knuckle is turned.
Abstract: A hybrid electro-pressure driven method for the recovery, purification, and concentration of lithium salts is described. A fractionating electrodialysis stack equipped with selective ion exchange membranes is s used to separate a lithium containing brine into a monovalent enriched fraction and a divalent enriched fraction. The monovalent enriched fraction is further processed to remove remaining impurities by use of pressure driven nanofiltration. An optional concentrating electrodialysis device may further concentrate the monovalent enriched fraction in lithium content. The method may be combined with a subsequent solvent extraction and electrolysis step to produce lithium hydroxide, a Li+ selective sorbent step for producing purified lithium chloride, or a Li+ selective sorbent and precipitative step to produce lithium carbonate.
Abstract: Compositions comprising a neutral surfactant or a reaction product thereof and a reaction product of a saccharide polymer and a fatty acid may be obtained in the presence of water and a hydroxide base (optionally in the presence of the neutral surfactant), the saccharide polymer comprising a dextran, a dextrin compound, or any combination thereof. The reaction product of the saccharide polymer and the fatty acid may be present at a concentration effective to lower surface tension of the neutral surfactant. Depending on the fatty acid identity, among other factors, the compositions may promote emulsification or de-emulsification. In addition, the compositions may promote foam formation under appropriate conditions. Treatment fluids comprising the compositions, including foamed treatment fluids, may be introduced into a subterranean formation to perform a treatment operation in which fluid emulsification or de-emulsification may occur.

The pusher drive assembly is operatively connected with the pusher and is configured so as to move the pusher in at least two mutually perpendicular axes. The controller is in communication with the pusher drive assembly. The controller is configured to control operation of the pusher drive assembly such that the pusher pushes the respective product being dispensed towards the exit opening and supports or lifts the remaining products in the chute against the force of gravity prior to the respective product fully exiting the product chute through the exit opening.

Abstract: A method and system for acoustic model conditioning on non-phoneme information features for optimized automatic speech recognition is provided. The method includes using an encoder model to encode sound embedding from a known key phrase of speech and conditioning an acoustic model with the sound embedding to optimize its performance in inferring the probabilities of phonemes in the speech. The sound embedding can comprise non-phoneme information related to the key phrase and the following utterance. Further, the encoder model and the acoustic model can be neural networks that are jointly trained with audio data.

Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or “drone” executes a neural network to assist with detecting and responding to attacks. The neural network may monitor, in real time, the data stream from a plurality of onboard sensors during navigation and may communicate with a high-altitude pseudosatellite (“HAPS”) platform. Abstract: A method for multi-channel voice activity detection includes receiving a sequence of input frames characterizing streaming multi-channel audio captured by an array of microphones. Each channel of the streaming multi-channel audio includes respective audio features captured by a separate dedicated microphone. The method also includes determining, using a location fingerprint model, a location fingerprint indicating a location of a source of the multi-channel audio relative to the user device based on the respective audio features of each channel of the multi-channel audio. The method also includes generating an output from an application-specific classifier. The first score indicates a likelihood that the multi-channel audio corresponds to a particular audio type that the particular application is configured to process.
Abstract: A system and method are provided for automated engaging of a truck trailer at a loading dock. Sensors measure a distance and an angle of alignment between the incoming trailer and a wall of the loading dock. An outside lighting system guides a truck driver backing the trailer toward the dock door. A vehicle restraint system fixates the trailer within the loading dock in response to signals from the sensors. An overhead dock door opens once the trailer is successfully fixated by the vehicle restraint system. A dock leveler deploys after the overhead dock door opens. An inside dock light indicates to dock personnel that the trailer is ready to be serviced. Once servicing of the trailer is finished, an automated release of the trailer from the loading dock may be initiated by PLC communication.

Abstract: The present invention provides devices and methods of manufacture related to transmitting light to a target site for diffusion Techniques are provided which allow accurate control of the illumination profile with a diffuser tip design which is easily producible, relatively inexpensive, and provides variations to obtain desired illumination profiles. This is achieved by using at least two light scattering mediums having a shape defined by an insert. In addition, the insert allows for other beneficial design features, such as a reduced heat retention, easily controlled and refined light scattering medium interfaces, and a smaller cross-sectional diameter than is typically achievable with other techniques.
