  • Patent number: 12152664
Abstract: Systems are provided for a gearset for a vehicle transmission. In one example, a system includes a shaft comprising one or more lubricant holes oriented radially within the shaft, and one or more gears positioned radially around a central axis of the shaft. The system further includes a ring positioned circumferentially around the shaft. The ring is shaped with a radially extending portion and an axially extending portion, wherein the radially extending portion may direct lubricant flow from the radially oriented lubricant holes toward the axially extending portion, and the axially extending portion directs lubricant flow from the lubricant holes in an axial direction towards the one or more gears. The axially extending portion and radially extending portion form a cut in the ring.

  • Patent number: 12152729
Abstract: Systems and methods for transporting and managing LNG are contemplated. A source of LNG is pumped to a pressure higher than a consumer pressure, and is vaporized to provide vaporized LNG. The vaporized LNG is transported from a first location to a second location without the need for cryogenic equipment. At the second location, the vaporized LNG is expanded to the consumer pressure or a second pressure below the consumer pressure to generate refrigeration content suitable to reliquefy at least a portion of the vaporized LNG. A reliquefied natural gas is generated at the second location while providing a natural gas product to a downstream consumer at the consumer pressure.

The system may include an orchestrator that provides a UI and controls an abstraction layer for implementing a workflow for providing on-demand edge compute. The abstraction layer may include a network configuration orchestration (NCO) system (e.g., a Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) system) and an API that may provide an interface between the orchestrator and the NCO. The API may enable the orchestrator to communicate with the NCO for receiving requests that enable the NCO to integrate with existing network controllers, orchestrators, and other systems and perform various network provisioning tasks (e.g., to build and provision a communication path between server instances). The various tasks, when executed, may provide end-to-end automated network provisioning services as part of providing on-demand edge compute service to users. The API may further enable the ECS orchestrator to receive information from the NCO, (e.g.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for an infrared and visible imaging system. In some implementations, Image data from a visible-light camera is obtained. A position of a device is determined based at least in part on the image data from the visible-light camera. An infrared camera is positioned so that the device is in a field of view of the infrared camera, with the field of view of the infrared camera being narrower than the field of view of the visible-light camera. Infrared image data from the infrared camera that includes regions representing the device is obtained. Infrared image data from the infrared camera that represents the device is recorded. Position data is also recorded that indicates the location and pose of the infrared camera when the infrared image data is acquired by the infrared camera.

  • Patent number: 12150833
Abstract: A dental attachment assembly and method anchors a dental appliance with an implant and has an abutment member attached to the implant, a retention member in releasable snap engagement with the abutment member, and a cap secured in a recess of the dental appliance and in releasable swivel engagement with the retention member to position and secure the dental appliance onto the implant. The cap includes a cavity with a rounded, concave inner surface which engages with the retention member, an interior top surface of the cavity with a concave recess extending radially along an outer periphery of the interior top surface of the cavity to allow for rotation of the retention member within the cap. A central portion of the interior top surface of the cavity surrounded by the concave recess therefore protrudes vertically into the cavity to minimize vertical displacement of the retention member as it rotates.

  • Publication number: 20240388712
Abstract: In a method of encoding performed in an encoder, a block is partitioned into a first part and a second part based on a geometry partition mode (GPM). Inter prediction is performed on the first part and the second part of the block based on merge mode with motion vector difference (MMVD). Whether a first motion vector (MV) for the first part is identical to a second MV for the second part is determined based on a first distance index and a first direction index and a second distance index and a second direction index. The block is encoded in a bitstream based on the first MV and the second MV when the first MV is not identical to the second MV, and based on the first MV and a third MV for the second part of the block when the first MV is identical to the second MV.

  • Publication number: 20240386528
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to image processing and specifically to processing panorama images using neural networks to generate depth maps, layouts, semantic maps or the like with reduced distortion and improved continuity. Methods and systems are described for generating such maps by leveraging several essential properties of these panorama images and by using a panorama panel representation and a neural network framework. A panel geometry embedding network is incorporated for encoding both the local and global geometric features of the panels in order to reduce negative impact of panoramic distortion. A local-to-global transformer network is also incorporated for capturing geometric context and aggregating local information within a panel and panel-wise global context.

  • Publication number: 20240386905
Abstract: Method, apparatus, and non-transitory storage medium for training a deep neural-network model jointly for acoustic echo suppression and acoustic howling suppression are provided. The method may include generating a teacher speech signal for training the deep neural-network model based on a input speech from a speech system and at least one reference signal. The deep neural-network model is trained jointly for both acoustic echo suppression and acoustic howling suppression by using the teacher speech signal and a correlation loss. During training of the deep neural-network model, the training task formulates a recurrent feedback suppression process as an instantaneous speech separation task using the teacher-forced training strategy.
