Abstract: A video decoding method includes: obtaining a bitstream including a plurality of coded frames of a video signal; decoding each of the plurality of coded frames into a plurality of super blocks and each of the plurality of super blocks into a plurality of residual blocks; recovering a coded block (CB) for each of the plurality of residual blocks based on multiple reference line intra prediction (MRLP) flags and reference samples included in each coded frame, wherein multiple reference lines are divided into above-side reference lines and left-side reference lines and one above-side reference line and one left-side reference line are selected for intra prediction; reconstructing each frame of the video signal by storing the recovered CB for each of the plurality of residual blocks in a frame buffer; and continuously outputting the reconstructed frames to restore the video signal.

Abstract: A system and method for multi-channel dynamic advertisement testing. The system comprises a multi-platform adaptive ad campaign manager, a dynamic advertisement engine, a campaign database, and an omnichannel text-based communicator. The system receives customer interactions with two advertisement test variants, establishes a real-time media stream between a customer device and a second user device, and monitors the media stream to collect data related to effectiveness of the advertisement variants. The system may analyze media stream data together with a plurality of other data types to statistically determine which of the two advertisement variants resulted in better performance based on a variety of advertisement metrics. The system may use the plurality of data and the statistical analysis to suggest an advertisement element to be altered in the next round of advertisement variant testing. This system can combine data collection and analytics for an ad campaign together into one system.

Abstract: An apparatus for applying an engagement collar to a group of articles, which includes an application area defining a horizontal support surface for receiving a group of articles, a horizontal press plate positioned above the support surface and mounted for vertical movement relative to the support surface, and an actuation assembly operatively connected to the press plate for moving the press plate relative to the support surface to apply an engagement collar to the group of articles positioned on the support surface within the application area, wherein the actuation assembly includes an actuation lever that is located below the press plate and in front of the application area to provide an ergonomic work environment.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of a medicinal applicator can comprise a base, a medicinal cream receiving port in the base, and a shaft with a shaft axis that is defined extending down the center of the shaft from the base and terminating at an applicator tip. There is at least one longitudinal outlet port located along a portion of the shaft. A medicinal cream passageway is in communication with the medicinal cream receiving port and the longitudinal outlet port via a funneled chamber. The medicinal cream passageway exits into the funneled chamber partway along the length of the longitudinal outlet port via a passageway exit port. A stop plate that extends essentially radially from the base delineates the base from the shaft.

Abstract: The disclosure herein describes deploying a Virtual Secure Enclave (VSE) using a universal enclave binary and a Trusted Runtime (TR). A universal enclave binary is generated that includes a set of binaries of Instruction Set Architectures (ISAs) associated with Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) hardware backends. A TEE hardware backend is identified in association with a VSE-compatible device. A VSE that is compatible with the identified TEE hardware backend is generated on the VSE-compatible device and an ISA binary that matches the TEE hardware backend is selected from the universal enclave binary. The selected binary is linked to a runtime library of the TR and loads the linked binary into memory of the generated VSE. The execution of a trusted application is initiated in the generated VSE using a set of interfaces of the TR. The trusted application depends on the TR interfaces rather than the selected ISA binary.

Abstract: A system for anonymously connecting consumers to advertisers is disclosed. A computing device, upon receipt of a request from a consumer mobile device, sends a ready-to-send text message to the consumer mobile device to be displayed thereon, via a data network; receives the ready-to-send text message from the consumer mobile device; receives metadata from the consumer mobile device comprising at least a phone number associated with the consumer mobile device; determines an anonymous identity of the user of the consumer mobile device based on the metadata; composes and sends a text message with an embedded call-to-action link comprising a uniform resource locator (URL) to the consumer mobile device; and upon receipt of a request from the consumer mobile device comprising the URL, sends the anonymous identity of the user to a third-party server and redirect the request from the consumer mobile device to the third-party server.

Abstract: Devices and methods for balloon delivery of rapamycin and other hydrophobic compounds to the wall of blood vessels. Balloon catheters, such as those used for stent deployment, are modified with the addition of a reservoir of dry micelles. The micelle preparation is reconstituted and the micelles are mobilized when the aqueous solution used to inflate the balloons is injected into the catheter. The micelles are infused into tissue surrounding the balloon when pressurized fluid within the balloon leaks through the wall of the balloon.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for processing calls. An example method may comprise receiving a message for establishing a call. Identification information in the message may be compared to screening data. If a match is found, the message may be forwarded to a screening server. The screening server may establish a call based on the session and provide information indicative of a level of trust associated with the call.

Abstract: A method of treating water in a water treatment system after a replacement of an ion exchange bed includes introducing water to be treated into the ion exchange bed of the water treatment system to produce treated water, calculating a current exchange daily average flow rate of water through the water treatment system, calculating a cumulative daily average flow rate of water through the water treatment system, and determining an estimated number of days remaining to exhaustion of the ion exchange bed based on the current exchange daily average flow rate and the cumulative daily average flow rate.

Abstract: A method to improve neurologically-intact survival rates after cardiac arrest may include performing CPR on an individual in cardiac arrest while the individual is in a supine position in general alignment with a horizontal plane. The method may include elevating the individual's head, shoulders, and heart relative to the individual's lower body while the individual's lower body remains generally aligned with the horizontal plane to cause blood to actively drain venous blood from the brain to reduce intracranial pressure. The method may include performing chest compressions on the individual and actively decompressing the individual's chest while the individual's head, shoulders, and heart are elevated.

Abstract: Example implementations are provided for an arrangement of co-aligned rotating sensors. One example device includes a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) transmitter that emits light pulses toward a scene according to a pointing direction of the device. The device also includes a LIDAR receiver that detects reflections of the emitted light pulses reflecting from the scene. The device also includes an image sensor that captures an image of the scene based on at least external light originating from one or more external light sources. The device also includes a platform that supports the LIDAR transmitter, the LIDAR receiver, and the image sensor in a particular relative arrangement. The device also includes an actuator that rotates the platform about an axis to adjust the pointing direction of the device.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a convertible children's high chair and a booster seat. According to various embodiments, the convertible high chair generally comprises a first child seat supported above a floor by a high chair frame, and a booster seat configured for being removably coupled to first child seat. The booster seat is configured such that, when detached from the high chair's first child seat, it can be used apart from the high chair (e.g., secured to the seating surface of a standard chair or another generally flat support surface). In one aspect, a method includes identifying a first operator associated with the observable, wherein the first operator comprises a linear combination of terms. One or more constraints on expectation values of one or more of the terms in the linear combination are determined. A second operator is defined, wherein the second operator comprises a combination of the first operator and one or more of the determined constraints. The expectation value of the quantum mechanical observable is estimated using the second operator.
