Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and a controller for controlling generation of geothermal power in an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) operation to thereby supply electrical power to one or more of in-field operational equipment, a grid power structure, and an energy storage device. In an embodiment, during hydrocarbon production, a temperature of a flow of heated fluid from a source or working fluid may be determined. If the temperature is above a vaporous phase change threshold of the working fluid, heat exchanger valves may be opened to divert flow of heated fluid to heat exchangers to facilitate heat transfer from the flow of wellhead fluid to working fluid through the heat exchangers, thereby to cause the working fluid to change from a liquid to vapor, the vapor to cause a generator to generate electrical power via rotation of an expander.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for device movement-based authentication. One method comprises receiving contextual data from one or more sensors of a user device and determining a device movement pattern based on the received contextual data. The determined device movement pattern is compared with a device movement-based signature associated with a user of the user device. If the determined device movement pattern matches the device-movement based signature within a predetermined threshold, the user is authenticated for an electronic transaction. If the determined device movement pattern does not match the device-movement based signature, a notification indicating authentication failure is sent to the user device.
Abstract: While an application or a virtual machine (VM) is running, a device tracks accesses to cache lines to detect access patterns that indicate security attacks, such as cache-based side channel attacks or row hammer attacks. To enable the device to detect accesses to cache lines, the device is connected to processors via a coherence interconnect, and the application/VM data is stored in a local memory of the device. The device collects the cache lines of the application/VM data that are accessed while the application/VM is running into a buffer and the buffer is analyzed for access patterns that indicate security attacks.

Abstract: A selectively frictionally engaged hole cover for a bore hole cored from a paved surface that includes a cover plate configured to cover the bore hole and support vehicular traffic. An engagement mechanism is attached to the cover plate and extends down into the bore hole. The engagement mechanism is configured to be actuated by a user torque input that causes an engagement plate selectively shiftable relative to the cover plate to thereby shift an engagement member along a sloped wall and thus radially outwardly or inwardly, causing the engagement mechanism to selectively engage or disengage the wall of the bore hole. When the engagement member is in frictional contact with the hole, unintentional extraction of the engagement mechanism is prevented. The selectively frictionally engaged hole cover effectively provides a temporary cover for a bore hole in a road, parking lot, or other paved surface.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for pharmaceutical compositions useful for treating autism spectrum disorder. The pharmaceutical compositions comprise particular THC:CBD ratios and terpene profiles, which have been demonstrated effective at treating cluster symptoms associated with autism spectrum disorder.

Abstract: A knife assembly includes a handle having a first and second handle portion each extending in spaced relationship with one another between a first and second knife end to define a working gap. A knife blade is pivotably secured to the second knife end and pivotable between a closed and engaged position. A switch button is interconnected to the handle for releasing the knife blade from the closed or engaged positions. A spacer is disposed within the working gap and extends between the first and second handle portions. A vial of tritium is housed within the switch button for allowing tritium produced by the tritium vial to be viewable by a user of the knife assembly.

Abstract: A request to access a destination device associated may be received from a user device. The request may comprise a digital certificate. The digital certificate may comprise a public key of the user device. A distributed ledger address of the user device may be determined by applying a deterministic function to the public key of the user device. A distributed ledger entry may be created on a distributed ledger. The distributed ledger entry may comprise the address of the user device. Based on the distributed ledger entry, access to the destination device may be granted to the user device.
Abstract: Systems and method relate to administering phototherapy. A device includes a hollow structure having at least a first open end. The hollow structure includes a rotatable member, one or more coherent light generators, and, for each coherent light generator, one or more lenses or mirrors optically connected to the coherent light generator and configured to alter at least one aspect of a beam of coherent light. The device further includes a processing circuit including a processor and a memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to accept an input from an operator and generate one or more beams of coherent light according to a plurality of settings configured to produce a therapeutic effect at a targeted treatment site. Additionally, the rotatable member is configured to be rotated to direct the one or more beams of coherent light to the targeted treatment site.

Abstract: A fiber amplifier that is particularly configured to provide gain across a large extent of the C-band spectral range (i.e., a gain bandwidth of at least 42 nm, preferably within the range of 46-48 nm) utilizes a specially-designed discrete Raman amplifier in combination with a high inversion level EDFA to extend the gain bandwidth of a conventional EDFA C-band optical amplifier, while maintaining the gain ripple below an acceptable value. The EDFA provides operation at a highly-inverted level and the specialized discrete Raman amplifier (sDRA) element has particular parameters (dispersion, length, effective area) selected to maintain operation within a “small gain” regime while also extending the long wavelength edge of the gain bandwidth and reducing the gain ripple attributed to the EDFA component.
Abstract: Methods and systems include using downhole data to determine a static bulk modulus of dry rock or rock frame in a porous formation and determine a static bulk modulus of grain minerals in the porous formation. Biot's coefficient for the porous formation can be determined based on the static bulk modulus of dry rock or rock frame and the static bulk modulus of grain minerals. Effective stress of the porous formation can be determined based on Biot's coefficient. Effective stress of the porous formation is used in geomechanical applications, including hydraulic fracturing, wellbore stability analysis, and reservoir integrity assessments.
