Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for obtaining depth-variant relative permeability and capillary pressure curves utilizes downhole in-situ logging data and formation testing measurements. The method involves obtaining multi-frequency dielectric data and NMR T2 data under residual water and oil saturation conditions, and obtaining formation testing data from which relative permeability and capillary pressure values are determined. Rock properties related to rock texture and fluid distribution are determined from the obtained multi-frequency dielectric and NMR T2 data. Additional NMR T2 and multi-frequency dielectric data are obtained at various saturation conditions and depths, and data sets are formed based on their possession of similar rock properties. A mathematical function is determined, relating water relative permeability, oil relative permeability, and capillary pressure with water saturation, using the rock properties and formed data sets.

Abstract: Presented are vehicle charging systems and control logic provisioning smart vehicle charging using encrypted wireless connectivity, methods for making/using such systems, and vehicles interoperable with such systems. A method of controlling a charging operation of a vehicle includes a vehicle controller retrieving a unique ID assigned to the vehicle from a memory device. When approaching an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS), the controller responsively embeds the unique ID in a wireless message, including encrypting and inserting the unique ID into a dedicated extension frame within the wireless message. The vehicle then broadcasts the wireless message with the embedded and encrypted unique ID. An EVCS controller parses the encrypted unique ID from the wireless message and transmits the encrypted unique ID to a back-office (BO) vehicle services provider.

Abstract: A load control device (e.g., an LED driver) for controlling the intensity of a lighting load (e.g., an LED light source) may provide a wide output range and flicker-free adjustment of the intensity of the lighting load. The load control device may comprise a load regulation circuit, a control circuit, and a filter circuit (e.g., a boxcar filter circuit) that operates in a different manner in dependence upon a target current. When the intensity of the lighting load is near a low-end intensity, the control circuit may adjust an operating frequency of the load regulation circuit in response to the target current, and may control the filter circuit to filter a current feedback signal during a filter window that repeats on periodic basis. When the intensity of the lighting load is near a high-end intensity, the control circuit may control the filter circuit to constantly filter the current feedback signal.
